1K+ HP SRT Jeep Detail

Wells boys and girls, recently had the opportunity to work on a friends quite literal beast. This jeep is one many people know of if you are part of most LX or mopar forums, 1000+ HP street-able jeep that breaks necks and cashes checks haha. The jeep has seen a 2 or 3 corrections over its life but last one must have been a bit ago, so when I offered he jumped at the opportunity to get it cleaned up before show car season and track time.

For those interested heres some background on it:

-Aluminum 426 block

-Vortech YSi Supercharger

-Complete custom driveline

-Paramount Performance trans and T-case

-Fastest supercharged GC SRT, ran 9.41 this last summer in the 1/4

Without anymore of me fanboying it, here we go:

Adams Products used:

-Fine Machine Polish

-Fine Machine Polish Pad

-Single Soft towels (never have too many)

-Detail Spray

-Glass Cleaner

-Glass Sealant

-All Purpose Cleaner

-Glass Towels

-American Pride Extension Cord (multiple, love em)

Owner decided to go with a semi-permanent coating that is not Adams but at the time it isn't in the cards, so now she waits for that in a heated garage. Ill be able to put more pictures up later once I get to work on it once it heats up a little, there are more parts of the car that may need wet sanding and more time. And as Jim Morrison would say, she is truly a dusky jewel now! lol Thanks for looking everyone!

Nice work, it looked to be in rough shape! Show some pics of the motor. What drivetrain? Merc?

Ill get back to you with more info on that.

Wow that was some work! Awesome results. Digging the deep dark space pic!

Thanks a lot, love that pic! means alot coming from a member of the SS family :D.

Man, that thing was a mess! Good job!

Thanks!

Wow, what did they wash it with a porcupine?:lolsmack:

Nice save, you had your work cut out for you!

Hahah seemed like it right? All I learned is that many passes on the track and Michigan roads are not nice to our vehicles :(. After seeing what I was up against I was excited though because I saw what became a beautiful finish.

Wow, what a beast! 1K HP......that's about enough....almost....right?

Haha almost right? and actually if I remember correctly the setup is good for more like 1500hp... haha.

Tell the owner they need to adjust their exhaust tips.

Out of all those pictures, yes, that's what I noticed. OCD sucks sometimes. Lol.

haha actuallyy, its custom piping cause of the work done to the truck and it has to be a bit to the side for the exhaust to still come out the middle looking stock haha. Tradeoff of HP for a exhaust a inch off haha, all I can say is I wouldnt mind if I was driving it, you guys would hate mine

IMG_7286-1.jpg

way off, doesnt melt my bumper and still sounds amazing, $1,500 cat back for $300, yeah ill take mine being off a little too haha which is weird cause im hardcore OCD but saving money does strange things to you.

LOL, i thought the same thing! sweet ride!

Thank you sir! :burnout:

No. He used "another" product for the initial heavy cut. He only listed the Adam's products HE used on this particular job.

What this guy said :D ^^^ As per Adams forums rules I am not allowed to, and as I love it here I am not gunna make that mistake. To be fair, I could have used another product to finish as well, but have found Fine Machine in my hands every time I go to make that final look perfect. I <3 FMP :)

It's just sad that the wife's Hemi GC is just shy of that 1khp by only 650 hp!:help:

Nice job on the correction!!!!!

Makes you feel tiny right? haha seeing mine next to his is weird, knowing they look almost exactly the same, the the HP his setup is possible of handling is almost 1000 more than mine haha.

Great job Josh, that thing was hammered!

Thanks nick! hope all is well, think your italian ladies are missin ya back at cauley ;)
