You can bring them to my house. Leave the keys. I may have to move them around a little.
LFairbanks
Looks like it is coming along nicely, Matt. Did they give you vented soffit? Kinda hard to tell from the pictures. I would also make sure that they install insulation baffles between every truss. Kinda scratching my head as to why they didn't install the drip edge before the shingles went down. Just seemed like it would have been more difficult to do afterwards.
Blue17CamaroZL1
yeah we got vented soffit. The insulation hasn't been been started yet. That'll probably be this week so they may put the baffles in when they do the installation. Hopefully it should all be done within a couple of weeks. My main goal is hoping to have the garage done by June so I can get the cars fully detailed for the GM Nationals at Carlisle.

Blue17CamaroZL1
I know it's been quite a while since this has been updated but its been quite a while since we had workers out here. Hence a very angry phone call last Friday so we've had some progress this week: New floor: New front door: New rear door: Still to come, the driveway and the electricity and insulation. Hopefully all of that will be done next week. I know the driveway is supposed to be. Team Adam's

Blue17CamaroZL1
got a voicemail earlier from the contractor. So now the schedule of the electrician being available is the week of the 23rd. That's the week AFTER the GM Nationals in Carlisle. So now I'm gonna have some ugly *** looking cars for Carlisle. This contractor has done nothing but pissed me off for this project. Kingsford
Sign a contract with a finish date on it? If so pull the card that its not your fault and he find another electrician.
LFairbanks
The problem with stuff like this is for example the drywall guy might have you slotted for a particular time frame. The electrician doesn't get his stuff done on time. So now your rescheduled for another time frame down the road. And they don't really care, because your garage isn't their bread and butter. Or the electrician had something bigger come up that needs to be done for someone that is always giving him work. Not saying this is the case, but more often than not it is. Just another reason, why I have figured out how to do stuff on my own. Edited June 11, 2014 by LFairbanks

Kingsford
Screw the electrician! Just run extension cords after they finish the driveway! haha

Kingsford
Maybe rent a generator? Might be safer than using a bunch of cords.
