Real chrome durability

97expo

Question

Looking for some input from guys who have had experience with REAL chrome wheels, not clear coated OEM wheels. I am looking to purchase a set of OEM Ford wheels for my truck that have been chromed. Seller states they are triple chrome plated. Nickel, double copper, and then chrome.

My main concerns are how will they hold up over time? What is the maintenance like? I live Southern california so salted roads isnt an issue.

As always, thanks for your input.

I would bet with that good coating and protection that soap and water is all you will need to clean those wheels.

I agree, most likely yes. However, if the wheels have a lot of intricate spokes or crevices around the rim of the wheel where brake dust could build up, depending on the brake pad compound, sometimes those areas are difficult for me to get perfect and that's where Deep Wheel Cleaner will work amazingly well :)
