Which wax applicator fits in the new Americana container? I have the red one that came with the wax but would like to purchase extras if available.

You can use the red hex applicator or the yellow one. They are the same thing.

I believe the red hex applicator works. I do not think it will fit in the container but you can always store it in a bag etc.

You could always give customer service a call. They may be able to hook you up with an original version if you don't go with the red hex grip one (made to work with Americana) Aaron linked above.

I don't store the applicator in the can, but the red applicator is the perfect size to get the wax from the can. I thought the hex grips were larger than the can itself but I guess I was mistaken. I will order those with my next order.

I had the same need after I received the Americana wax in my first mystery box.... I purchased their patriot wax applicator.  While it is slightly larger in height, it is the same diameter of the standard red one that comes in the Americana wax.  I don't store the applicator inside with the wax but it does make it easier to get an even amount on the applicator while using it.

Actually, the ones in the Americana container now are a little thicker and taller than those. Those red ones pictured were offered by use probably 3 or 4 years ago when we had our Mini-Americana containers. The current applicator is a little bit different.

It's a smaller diameter Hex Grip (compared to the Red and Black foam Hex Grip) that does fit inside of the current Patriot and Americana jars for those that like for the applicator to sit flat on the wax when reloading the applicator with wax. As others mentioned, once you've used the applicator, we do not recommend storing them in the wax container.
