Getting a Black Car???

On Tuesday I will be picking up my newly aquired 2004 Supercharged Monte Carlo Intimidator SS, with only 45k miles ...and guess wht...its Black.

 

How much more work will this be compared to my current Silver car. Any different steps or measures I will need to follow to kepp the paint looking great?

I guess alot of it depends on how picky you are, my old pickup is black, and I don't think that it looks too bad for an old p/u with 181,xxx on the odo and 14 years old:burnout:

I'm a detailer and I own a silver car for a reason. Rich, your sig is the truest ever, but I do agree that a black car detailed properly is amazing.

Congrats. I just picked up a 02 Grand Prix GT Black with only 73k miles. Cant wait until spring to detail it.

There is nothing better the a Black car all shinned up. Only problem is it only takes a few minutes and it is not shinny any longer. It will show the littlest among of dust. Your work on it will be a lot more intense that the silver one.

Nice car though, and keeping it clean with Adams products will be fun.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<img src=" /><o:p></o:p>

I agree their is nothing like a properly detailed black car but Im partial

 

This was after an 8 hour detail clay, shr, revive, ds, vrt, and now a cali winter later I need to do it all again.

Only the 2004 model year did.

Yep. 04 Montes had them available. My 02 didn't. Nice car. My wife wanted the red Dale Jr. Monte, but we had just bought the 02. You're gonna like it.
