  1. I...I want one. Common Adams, include this new accessory to your next batch of product updates! In for 1 Adams Monkey Cleaner!
  2. Works great on tough grime around the house...try it on your bath tub.
  3. Youtube makes me spend too much money...saw some in-floor lifts. Safe to say, I started pricing them out... Looks good BTW
  4. Thanks for the feedback. The tires were not dirty enough to warrant a stronger cleaner. I was actually using diluted APC. I did not forget the wheel wells. Plenty is not in the video, it was actually an interior / exterior detail. This was just a portion. The wheel wells on this R8 are a fabric. Due to clearance, you have to take the wheels off in order to clean properly.
  5. Some general tips and process I use for cleaning tires. Here is a video, using an Audi R8 as a demo vehicle: The process goes as follows (you can tweak as needed): Make sure the tires are not hot (never work with hot rims and tires!) Rinse first, getting rid of loose dirt and helping to loosen the dirt that might be stuck I like to start with the tread, spray with your cleaner and let soak (here, I am using Adams All Purpose Cleaner). Using the foam setting lets the cleaner cling to the tire. Agitate with a brush Rinse away the dirt Repeat as necessary. The tread can get quite dirty and require multiple passes. Clean the rim. I like using a wheel woolie, especially for this R8 with wider rims. It makes getting in there extremely easy. I use some APC and shampoo suds from a clean bucket. Your rims need special care, just like your paint. Be sure to rinse often and check your cleaning tool of choice often. Make sure you clean the finer details, such as the bolts Rinse away the soap This part is optional, dry the rim. If you want to apply a dressing, I recommend this step. I am using a Blaster Sidekick. Start far away and work your way inwards, or else water will splash on you and the machine. Dress the tires, sit back and enjoy! Thoughts, ideas, suggestions, and comments...post away!
  6. A steamer, like the McCulloch, in my opinion is a lot better for mobile details compared to a bissell extractor. Long story short, the Bissell just seems like a lot of effort and work, if you *need* to use it for your detail, mobile is not feasible unless you have a serious set-up (in which case, you would have something like a Mytee anyways). That is not to say it won't work, it is just not something I personally would want to work on in a mobile condition. Now, if you have people dropping cars off to you, the Bissell Extractor might be a nice start until you can get something a little beefier, and the McCulloch is still wonderful. As you can see, in my opinion, the McCulloch Steamer has more use and is probably a better buy. You can also use the steamer around the house more (again, in my opinion ). I use mine to clean with ease, bathrooms, stuck on food/juice on the floor, dirty hand prints on the walls, the stove, microwave, counters, fridge, garbage can and the list goes on. Just my two cents.
  7. Brilliant Glaze on the interior glass? Interesting @Adam. For what purpose? Looks, or does it help get rid of anything that could be on the inside? I don't think I have ever heard of this suggestion on the interior, only exterior...very curious to the effects.
  8. Alcohol works well. Or, Tarminator. Adams unfortunately does not have anything specifically for tree sap. Here is the method I used. Similar method can be used, just change Tarminator with Alcohol. http://hfxdetailing.com/removing-baked-on-sap-from-your-vehicle/ PS: I know we are not supposed to really mention other products, hoping this is OK because Adams does not have anything like Tarminator. Hint Hint, wink wink... next new product?
  9. I wish leather conditioner smelled like the old Deep Wheel Cleaner. Nothing like the scent of cleaning in action.
  10. I actually find the new .com layout sometimes easier to find certain products, but I prefer the simple look of the .ca site. Plus, we have a clearance section...soooo
  11. Come shop with us Canadians: http://www.adamspolishes.ca/c-40-clearance-items.aspx
  12. Is it possible your window is still dirty? They can get quite filthy. What exactly is your process you are using? Can you try the towel on the outside, after washing the window? Does it still streak (on the outside)? If no, then I suspect the interior is still dirty. If yes, your towel might be dirty or contaminated.
  13. Amazingly well! You let the tool do the work. I only use the turbo stick on tough dirt, with the combination of Deep Wheel Cleaner. Wheel Woolie tackles the rest. I used the turbo stick on the rims attached. The vehicle had brake failure, extremely baked on brake dust. Agreed. If the rims are that bad, nothing more satisfying than seeing a turbo stick with Deep Wheel Cleaner in action.
  14. I tried ordering from .com once. Got a fedex bill something like 2-3 months later. Was surprising. The Odor Neutralizer would be great, I am holding off for now. Maybe next MB if we get another. Next order will be a biggie with all the new products.
  15. Also look at domain names before picking a name. it would suck to have your heart set on one, just to find out the domain name is taken.
  16. I never mix my towels, partially for this reason. Not sure there is anything you can do at this point.
  17. That's why it is not for you. Coatings are targeted to people who just don't have the time. I will be coating my car, leaving more time to detail others vehicles.
  18. Most coatings only contain enough for 1-2 vehicles. Once the bottle is open, it has a short shelf-life as I understand it (if it is like other coatings). I do hope they come out with options to buy it separately, and also in bulk.
  19. Can't wait to see the video... But, wow! $190 in Canada. Ouch!! When can we expect to see the coating by itself, and not in the kit? Or, bigger bottles, or multi-bottle kits?
  20. I feel you here. My trunk got all scratched up from ice being stuck in-between the spoiler and the trunk. Lancer paint is so darn soft. As for snow, you have to remove it here. That, it it is unsafe to leave it. I make sure I have my paint sealed up nicely before winter. When snow hits, I can remove it in a gentle swoop, never touching the paint. Now, if the snow itself has ice/rocks/dirt, it can scratch. If your paint was dirty, it can scratch... Ideal situation is to have a garage, but sometimes you cannot help it. In those situations, easy does it. Almost no pressure. Let gravity do the work once you "break" the friction point.
  21. That seems like a really short lifespan. I get several months out of Paint Sealant. There are plenty of factors involved, so it is not quite clear when comparing two products. For example, I have found interior detailer terrible for some interiors, and great for others. I would think, paint can be similar. Depending on what is on the paint, what it is coated with, the hardness, etc, could affect the sealant. Among other factors, such as how much it is driven in the ran and so forth. Again, hard to say. A month seems really short though.
  22. Bob, at first I was like..meh...and then I was like, cool, by the end it was an emotional thriller. Great job
  23. This has been brought up numerous times. Part of the issue is that Adams Canada looks, feels, and sounds like Adams but in reality it is a separate entity. I do wish Adams Canada was on par with Adams .com, but if it has not happened yet, it probably won't happen. We miss out on Mystery Boxes, the new website, but Dexter (Adams Canada) does get the new products pretty fast (we do miss some...), and his service is A+. On the other hand, we benefit in some ways AdamsPolishes.com does not, we get some pretty awesome clearance items, not to mention we still have Adams Quick Sealant where our American neighbors are left out in the cold on this one.. People would probably be happier if Adams Canada, was not called adamspolishes.ca. It gives people the wrong idea and expectation.
