  1. Glad things are looking up (as they typically do, here at Adam's). Keep us in the loop, regarding an further details or questions. Good luck! Thanks Adam for AWESOME customer service.
  2. I will ask... when you did the first half of the car, was that with the orange pad and the white pad after it, or just the orange pad? If you did both and still see some scratches (that are not through the base coat into primer), I would try a bit of glaze on a test area of scratch and see if the glaze doesn't make the scratch "disappear" into the glaze. Then apply a little Americana on top of that area and see what you think. If it works, (like it did on my BMW) you won't really notice the scratches much (unless you REALLY look for them). There are... however... scratches in my doors that are into base coat and some into primer and I know that I CANNOT get those out with a polisher and need to deal with the actual scratch... as in scratch repair/repaint. I agree with others here saying, don't get discouraged. I had to go over my car twice before most of the "deeper" scratches were gone. BMW's, by nature, have a harder clear coat than most. I had to use microfiber and with the cyclo, do 2 passes, just to cut enough. The glaze and Americana do WONDERS for hiding surface swirls. I am not promising the world, BUT just give the entire process a test on a test panel and see what happens. That way you know what to expect for the rest of it, which will be better than it is now.. by a LONG shot. We are all here to help. Let us know if there are any other questions you have.
  3. This is great. Thank you Adam. Now I can ask questions... live... during my actual weekend cleaning/correcting/protecting times when I need help the most. AWESOME!!!!
  4. Great pose Bet you could of cleaned and sealed the guy's glass with some Adam's glass cleaner and sealant before the next photo or video shoot. In the first picture, the glass looks filthy (on top of liquid being on the rim).
  5. With the paint sealant, do you hand apply and just take off the excess just like the paint? Or do I need to do any additional steps after wet sanding the lenses?
  6. I will send you 2-3 oz. I have a gal and would love to see this comparison Jason. I pm'ed you contact info and whatnot so I can send it to you.
  7. Michael... why does he need to redo it every 6 months? (oxidation now that it has been sanded)??
  8. Thanks guys for the suggestion. I will definitely pick some up on my next trip over there. Thanks again.
  9. Hey Jason, I would definitely love to see a comparison shot once you have some Adam's conditioner (pm'ed or emailed for obvious reasons). Here is mine. Adam's on the driver seat and console and the leading car store brand (previous owner.. paid a detailer for years with these products) on the passenger seat. Gotta love Adam's leather conditioner. I even say it outperforms the dealership recommended "high-end" leather conditioner. (from personal experience)
  10. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to safely remove the glue stuff that the tire companies use to install the weights to the inner portion of the wheel?
  11. I agree with Chris. I LOVE microfiber's cutting ability. Yes I have seen the backing come off MF pads before as well. Adam's ones are built well and work VERY well. Even with a Cyclo, the effectiveness of MF is great. I still use both the microfiber and the foam orange pads. I test the foam first to see if I can get away with less, then move to the microfiber if needed. The specific paint on my particular BMW required only microfiber as the clear coat was very hard to cut. Others will be different. Always test on a small area if you decide to go MF, that way if it cuts too much for you (if possible) with a PC or Cyclo, then the effects will be seen less and you can move on to a different strategy.
  12. Agreed. But the car looks great none the less.
  13. I agree. Great color too. Hope he doesn't drive it and next week look at you and ask... why didn't you buy the V8?
  14. Thanks. I love this blue and how well it works with the lines of the car.
  15. Congrats and nice unboxing. Can't wait to see pics of the interior.
  16. I agree. After my buddy RedAztec got this kind of a "deep" shine from his trail used jeep cherokee, I just couldn't wait to see how it did on the race blue BMW paint. I was not disappointed.
  17. Do you also have photos of the debris on the panels themselves? And Welcome BTW.
  18. Have you tried another 2 bucket wash with more APC added to loosen some of the white particles from the paint itself? (after you tried detail spray and clay) If that doesn't work, I would try different levels of diluted APC on the paint (less to greater strength as to not hurt the paint itself) and see if that loosens it all up well, without hurting or scratching the clear coat (pressing hard to get it off and creating new scratches). The VW looks great though
