  1. From what I have seen and heard on here about power washers, you want the gas powered ones if you are looking for a REALLY nice snow foam effect. Minimum of 2700-3000 psi. Yes they are louder (typically), but the added pressure is needed to get really nice foam action from any foam cannon. They are more expensive than $200. If you are just looking to upgrade your Gilmour and expect around the same foaming results (just more pressure), then the electric will be fine. But, if you are looking to spend $150-200 on a power washer, and are looking for the same results, I would save that money and just pickup another Gilmour and use the hose pressure again. With that $200ish you saved, you can put that towards a DI filter hookup system or a really nice fire hose nozzle.
  2. Your welcome. Does anyone have any suggestions for additional lists or helpful reference guides?
  3. I agree, but Adam's dealers around the country still have plenty of them (and you can get them other places as well (for now)). I wanted to include them as they are still in most of the Adam's videos posted online. The list will increase as new applicators become available to replace the old ones and their roles in the Adam's detailing world.
  4. Maybe you should keep a spare Adam's box around to remind yourself that there is hope (and to tell the difference)
  5. Saturday is coming and two bucket wash/detail is in order.

  6. I have to say, even on REALLY HARD clear coat, like on my BMW... I started learning on a Cyclo. Did the entire car in one day. Was it the best job, no, I am still a novice (user not machine errors). But I will say, that with the microfiber pads and that large ~8.5in diameter of correcting area, the cyclo was no slouch when it came to DEEP correction. Was it faster than a flex (which I upgraded to), no. But without forced rotation that will never happen. BUT, can I get faster correcting times in, against say a PC, absolutely. Bigger combined pad layout, wider area coverage and it can reach into smaller areas WITHOUT a separate BP. These are all MASSIVE wins for the Cyclo. I have to have a separate BP for the flex that will take 4" pads (can't use Adam's pads due to the backing plastic being smaller than 4") ...Still working on modifying the BP to accept Adam's pads. Plus, I have to say, I FULLY enjoy the balance of the Cyclo (and less vibration) over the Flex ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. Also, having FULL support from not just the company that sold it (which is AWESOME) but the company that makes it (there in Denver) is AMAZING and should not be overlooked. In the end, with my specific clear coat, I had no choice but to go up to the Flex. But given a little more time, the cyclo would have finished the job the same as the flex. I am in agreement with Chris (Chewy), that I went with the flex to have more time to do other things. But my hands and arms would probably thank me more with the cyclo (even with more time being spent with it).
  7. I agree... Sending a PM to Nick to have him verify these ideas. Unless someone else within the Adam's "employment" would like to comment on the above. (don't want to leave anyone out, Nick came to mind first)
  8. I agree. It can be great fun. It is letting the creative juices flow and have something to show for it
  9. Yes, if you already applied the sealant glaze and wax, you will need to strip wash it and then finish another round with just the white foam pad and finishing polish. Then apply sealant, glaze and wax again, in that order. Don't feel bad, I have to do the same thing with the BMW. Did a full correction with microfiber (cyclo) and missed some critical areas and didn't correct enough (did the whole car (multiple passes) in ONE day... bad idea for a novice). I have to strip all of my protection off as well but I know that the paint is just the way I left it. So going another round will be pretty easy. Say an hour or so for a GOOD strip wash (without using other techniques, just APC and shampoo in the wash bucket) Then another hour or 2 (or 3) correcting test panel and finishing the rest of the car (with those steps) Complete said correction and then apply sealant glaze and wax in about an hour and a half. So a good afternoon is all it should take to try again. (if that makes sense)
  10. Great suggestions... I already updated them in the list. Thanks for the tips. The blue is a denser foam (Per Dylan before he left). It gave him more "cutting" ability than the mini americana (red foam) applicator in the metal polish video. Do we have any others with ideas?
  11. Hello Everyone. I have only been detailing on here for about 2 months and I am hearing many uses for each type of applicator. Since I wanted to consolidate most of the "creative" and useful ways to use each applicator, I have composed a list and wanted to "print it out" for myself and leave in the garage for my reference later. I need some help filling in extra creative ways to use the applicators below. In what ways can the following applicators be used (and with which products)... without damaging or ruining the applicator? Americana Premium Wax & Glaze Applicator with Blue or Black Top and Red Bottom / Black with Yellow Hex-Grip Car Wax Applicator (as bottom foam is the same density) Use with: -apply wax -apply glaze -apply metal polish #2 -apply quick sealant (paint and wheels (separate applicators)) -apply liquid paint sealant -apply buttery wax Red Premium Interior Dressing Applicator (UFO) Use with: -apply leather and interior conditioner -apply VRT (interior and exterior) -apply liquid paint sealant -apply quick sealant (paint and wheels (separate applicators)) -apply buttery wax Black with BLUE Hex-Grip Hand Polish Applicator Use with: -apply revive polish -apply metal polish #1 Americana Mini Wax Applicator Use with: -apply wax -apply glaze -apply metal polish #2 -apply quick sealant (paint and wheels (separate applicators)) -apply liquid paint sealant -apply buttery wax VRT Super Block Dressing Applicator Use with: -apply VRT (interior and exterior) -apply leather and interior conditioner Black Hex-Grip Pro Tire Dressing Applicator Use with: -apply VRT to tires -apply liquid paint sealant (extra applicator that hasn't touched tires) Blue Microfiber Applicator Pads Use with: -apply glass sealant -apply leather and interior cleaner AND conditioner -apply metal polish #1 and #2 -apply quick sealant (paint and wheels (separate applicators)) -apply carpet and upholstery cleaner to house and car fabrics -apply VRT (interior and exterior) -apply liquid paint sealant **The Microfiber applicators do tend to be the most disposable however. The Microfiber applicators are easier to do multi-use because you can launder them with your Microfiber towels. Each applicator must not be allowed to co-mingle between product usage with it, even if you clean them out well. Each applicator should have a dedicated product use in my opinion.** I will also include the "utility towels" and all purpose (formally metal polish) towels -apply carpet and upholstery cleaner -apply metal polish #1 and #2 -apply leather and interior cleaner (and conditioner) -apply rinseless wash on wheels only (unless single or double soft is usable still with fresh sides left) Note: interiors; short side for cleaning, long side for dusting/wiping. Sorry for the long post but I wanted to fill in as much info as I know so that we don't have people saying the common "standard answers". I know I have missed a few critical answers but be kind with replies. I will continue to keep the list updated as people write in with suggestions. Thanks in advance.
  12. I would recommend having a before and after shot at the end of the video so the viewers can see the difference without referencing back earlier in the video. Just my 2 cents. Good video otherwise
  13. Glad we all straightened that out. I am glad I picked up extra mini americana applicators and a bunch of blue hex from detailers domain. And also a blue hex from adams for revive polish.
  14. I have to try that before I use metal polish 1 and 2 on mine. Great results
  15. Thank you Adam. We are all behind you and know that during these times, you are... 1) Doing the right thing for the customers 2) Doing the right thing for the company 3) Doing the right thing for yourself before God. He WILL bless this and we have yet to see the full potential of that which is Adam's Polishes!!!! So get ready for RAIN
  16. That also begs the question... When you clean up exhaust tips, with the heat, will that hurt the quick sealant or americana or the metal that it is attached to?
  17. $52,500 Good luck with that sale and hopefully it will come across the block on TV Then we will all be sitting on our couches, holding our double-softs and wishing for the best (and praying along the way too)
  18. I agree If you are worried about waterless (now rinseless diluted 1:16), just add another oz or two of product to the bottle. A little extra goes a LONG way.
  19. Great Ride!!!! Blue Corvettes are AWESOME!!!
  20. I apply it straight to the seat or surface itself and then work it in. Just "pour" it right on. Now, my seats in the pics on page one in the BMW were never truly treated properly (protection or cleaning wise). I had to have 3 sessions of 3 coats each (just caked on the surface to absorb). I finally brought the chairs back to 85-90% original luster. Still working on getting that extra 10%. I agree. Now that they are closer to where I want them, the seats will be treated every month or two. New Mexico is HARSH on any interior surface, heat, more radiation as we are over a mile high and massive dirty/dust in the air all the time. Personally I like the satin (sheen) finish the Adam's product provides. Just ups the "class" of the leather (for my sport seats at least). If I were to use this (which I will) on my old jeep's tan leather, I may prefer a more matte finish. Either way, they will be protected as well. Thanks Ricky Bobby (Jason) for the write up and follow up. Glad everything went smoothly and you were able to do a "complete" trial of the product in your X5. Let me know if there is anything else I can help with.
  21. With that rinse bucket, would it be ok to add a few ounces of microfiber revitalizer to let the towels pre-soak before the washer?
