  1. Yes, You always want your furniture to have that same level face meltering as your clear coat. Even when you spill food and drink on it
  2. Yes I have (after the first wash) and haven't had much staining. But if you didn't wash the blues first, then YES the doubles will have a slight blue hue to it.
  3. Yes I purchased one 2 weeks ago. It took a week to get sent out from the NJ facility. So, patience is a virtue. Adam's is all over the Tracking though. You will LOVE it! Too bad I can't use it with a Gary Dean Rinseless Wash Method
  4. Thanks guys. Has anyone had any experience with using the Flex with 4" pads? Do you think if I had those 4" pads, could the flex have done the interior contours of the left portion of the engine bay that Pete was working on with the Cyclo?
  5. Beautiful job. Can't wait to see the extra depth of the red with the Americana afterwards.
  6. Hello Everyone, I found these photos in my backup collection from a few weeks ago that I never got around to posting. RedAztec (Pete) and I were detailing our vehicles (his mustang and my jeep) on a Saturday afternoon. After we had finished up, a buddy from down the street came up and inquired as to whether either of us knew of anyone who could do a decent to good polish job on his restored engine bay before his new motor and accessories were bolted in. We looked at each other and smiled. We informed him that we were those of which he had been seeking. We took our tubs of products and cyclo and flex over to his garage and started working on his engine bay. I have to say that the usefulness of the cyclo in the tight corners and contours of this specific engine bay was great. The flex tackled the firewall in the latter pictures. The neighbor was SO impressed that he actually wanted us to let him know when we were putting in another order so he could get some himself to try and work with. Needless to say, his paint job (real spray guns and technique) in his garage was actually not too shabby. Even his clear coat layering was done well. Once the polishes were introduced and correction was done (a little orange peel and uneven layers), the final fully face-meltered surface was gorgeous. WELL DONE ADAM'S POLISHES! Here are the beginning shots with Pete checking the polish with his pocket Fenix flashlight. Here is the contrast between the firewall (not completed and interior walls (completed) Here is the firewall half done (once before second wetsanding). Here is the finished fully face-meltered firewall. Even Pete and I were impressed with how great it turned out.
  7. I agree with those above regarding the recommendation of the borderless blues. I will also add that the single soft (borderless blues now) are not as "physically thick" as double softs and thus are easier to manage in the hand when folding into 4ths or 8ths and work into the curves of the body of the car (without getting flopped around or twisted in your hand). I also 2nd the Gary Dean method.
  8. Starting them off early I see. Great to know that she is able to detail a car... long before she could actually drive one
  9. Similar notion to "Polish" vs Polish. I was driving the newly cleaned BMW to church on Easter and decided to park next to a light pole so I could find it easier once service was out. I stated to my mom, who was in the car riding shotgun that morning, that I felt like parking next to a light pole today. My mom looks at me and without hesitation said... Yeah, those Adam's products make you gravitate to the pole. You are feeling polish today. She stated it straight and without any sarcasm. My jaw hit the floor and I couldn't stop laughing until we had walked all the way up to the church building. After a few seconds she got the joke. Gotta love that polish, or is it Polish?
  10. Welcome to the "Addiction"
  11. Glad to see the polish paid off, in more than one way Congrats.
  12. Got the exhaust almost all the way out of my miata in prep for a new clutch replacement. Tomorrow, the stubborn bolt will get the impact treatment. muahahahaha.
  13. Thanks Jason. I can't believe how amazing it is. My car is STILL clean (after a full rain (1.5 hrs after the wash) AND a dust blast overnight). I can't believe it. I am still geeking out about it. This is why I got into Adam's products. Just to have my mind BLOWN!!!
  14. The Lord is risen. He has risen indeed!
  15. Also to note, Waterless Wash spray down/prep the car in advance, with the new Kwazars, is also quick and AWESOME!!!
  16. I have to comment... Today, I had time to complete my very first "Gary Dean" rinse-less wash on my BMW. I am posting a write up about it in another section but just wanted to say that it is AWESOME. Not just for the lessening of risk of scratching of the paint, but the speed and efficiency of the whole thing, is just spectacular. With my technique being honed, I figure I can wash the entire car this way with 5 towels (6 if you include wheels) and all in less than 25 min (including a detail spray wipe down afterwards. SO MUCH FASTER THAN TWO BUCKET METHOD. Now, it is more expensive as buying 6 border-less blues costs more than a couple double soft towels. BUT with less contamination and actual wear from the rubbing on a grit guard, the border-less blues will last WAY longer. You are getting your money's worth out of them. If you haven't already, buy or trade for border-less blues and set yourself up for a GREAT SUCCESSFUL rinse-less car wash. Also, I did have the second bucket full of water and MR and it also was easy to just let the towels (ALL towels) soak for like 30 min - 1 hr and then wring them out and throw them directly into the washer (with another 2 oz of MR) and that was it. All in, I could spend less than 1 hr doing an entire maintenance wash on the car (depending on level of grime) and detail spray wipe down and clean up afterwards. That is just AWESOME!!!!
  17. What do you want? I have many Adam's "things" PM sent.. tried but box was full.
  18. Does anyone have an Adam's poster or display board or the detailing guide poster?
  19. False (only butter on mine please). The next person has memorized the Gettysburg Address at least one in their life.
  20. Welcome and glad you could join us.
  21. I agree with the above. If you are REALLY OCD, then yes you can still put the sealant on before the wax. It is technically a waste of time as it is a garage queen, but hey, whatever suits your fancy.
  22. I would tend to agree with the extra product being put down, but I would rather put down more than not enough. When I used a kwazar and detail spray to help me clay a friends entire SUV, I used almost 16 oz (was thorough and looking at rinseless wash (diluted) as a cheaper lubricant). But am I annoyed that I just put an entire 16oz detail spray bottle worth of product on a (never been clayed) SUV... no. Yes it will be more expensive over time, but to have 1/2 the pulls of the standard bottle and put out a little more product is a win in my book.
