  1. I have also updated the posting with the photos and descriptions from the PDF. Granted, it isn't as "clean" but if someone needed to refer to it, it is there. Thanks to Ron... BluedogGMC for the layout and PDF update.
  2. As I stated in my forum post about my collection, I am "paying it forward" with my dad. This last weekend and through the week he has been hard at work cleaning up 2 main monitors and a head amplifier for a local church. I insisted that since it is textured vinyl covered and rubber trimmed, he should clean it with some 50/50 (and full strength) APC and a carpet brush (hard vinyl) and protect it with some VRT and blue microfiber applicator. Well, he took my suggestion and ran with it. We even polished some of the aluminum trim. Thought at first it was a bare metal but when I used metal polish #1 on it, it didn't turn black, so it is coated. After cleaning, we covered it with brilliant glaze and buttery wax. (the aluminum only) (collection updated posting) http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/26224-my-adams-collection-updated
  3. I am just glad to see the community coming together and creating some helpful tips and tricks for the novices as well as the pros Nothing like good, old-fashioned teamwork
  4. In this case, I would highly recommend the gallon and kwazar sprayer (since there is that special going on (as of now)). I ended up doing that. I got tired of the 16 oz bottle and the 36 oz bottle sprayers vs the kwazar (33 oz) and its sprayer. Holds more product than the new 16 oz (obviously) and puts more down with less pulls ... WIN!!! Plus the kwazar (with a gallon purchase) is going to be as cheap or cheaper than buying a 36 oz bottle used from someone and paying the shipping to get it. The full bottle will weight close to 2 pounds. Shipping on that will be as much or more than the product is worth. (as I found out shipping you 3 oz of leather conditioner)
  5. Technically it is permanent. BUT... I would take it over to a local (highly respected) glass repair shop and see if it is worth looking at. It could spread with the first HUGE temperature change and then you will need a new windshield. Not a good day there. They should be able to inspect it for free (but no guarantees). Just call them up and ask.
  6. Shined and Protected by Adam's Products!!! OR Shine, smiles and protection provided by Adam's Products!
  7. Thanks Ron. That was exactly what I had planned to do with this list but never had time to do it. Thanks
  8. I know this is WAY old... but Adam, what would it take to actually bring a "bath robe" of the double soft to reality? Is it even possible?
  9. That would be amazing. A Double Soft Robe!!!!! Put me in for at least one. I have a few friends that would go nutz over this. I agree with the GWT being better as a bath towel.
  10. Yesterday I washed my BMW and helped a friend wash her Toyota Rav4. After that, the Toyota got a new claying and sealant treatment. That evening I took the BMW into the mountains to visit some family friends and ... yeah that wash went away with all the dirt from the dirt roads
  11. Quick question... I store the DWC in the "new" clear 16 oz bottles and haven't had a problem. Should I be concerned about DWC eating through that bottle?
  12. Same here. This is kinda the same sort of idea I have had for my detached 2-car garage (or so). Can't wait for more updates.
  13. Now we are too and spreading it to our community. Thanks for the recommendation Pete.
  14. I did a 2 stage on my BMW after I bought it (with a cyclo) and found the front bumper and rear bumper to still be MASSIVELY hard clear. Haven't tested it with my flex though so I will heed your words of caution as I do another 2 stage correction (the cyclo missed some scratches even with microfiber). Looks great though. That green is amazing... IMHO my Montego Blue trumps it. But if I wanted another green vehicle.... that green would be it! Well done. Looks great.
  15. Did you use microfiber and a flex to get those scratches out or sandpaper and then microfiber?
  16. only seal with quick sealant (spray can), as regular paint sealant won't be optically clear.
  17. Good point. Didn't even add anything about buttery wax. Update complete.
  18. Good points. I added those as notes at the end of this. Thanks Jason.
  19. I was in the same boat last weekend with my Jeep. Had EVERYTHING laid out in the driveway to get the whole thing knocked out (wash, clay, correct with flex, sealant (only as clearcoat failure doesn't really deserve Americana)), and the same thing happened to me. After claying the jeep, I found the surface still too rough to really correct yet. There was about 15-20 mph gusts with dirt and dust (micro particles) all the time that day (I am in a desert). I had to resort to just settling for a complete wash, clay and wash again to get all the detail spray off (new kwazar sprayers really put the product down).
