PostalTwo reacted to stripesace in From a PC to a Rupes LHR 15 MkII
2.5 for correcting? wow... people are used to spreading product at 3....
5 for polishing... Guessing the faster speed jeweled a little better at higher speeds... Guess that makes sense.
Interesting. I found myself at 4.5/5 for correcting and only needed about 2 passes. My paint finished well with just correction polish.
I generally spread my Paint Sealant at speed 1 or 2...

PostalTwo reacted to stripesace in Using Rinseless Wash as clay lube?
Because a gallon of Detail Spray is 44.95 and a gallon of rinseless diluted to clay lube is $3.24?
I played with 64:1 and 32:1 and 32:1 vs. Detail spray couldn't discern the difference in the slickness. 64:1 was a little grabbier than detail spray, 16:1 was too slick.

PostalTwo reacted to Dan@Adams in Trying some new products
If towels begin linting like that, it's possible they have some contamination in them. How often do you wash them and what is your wash process/what do you use to wash them with?
With all of our premium plush microfiber towels, it is best to wash them before first use to make sure any possible extra strands of fiber from the manufacturing process are removed

The smell of Leather conditioner is great. I put some in an old spice container with the top open and use it as an air freshener also.

It really is OK. I doubt I lost enough of the polish to do a door or two.
I was just a little surprised by the packaging when they go out of their way to brag about it.
/end rant !
Looking forward to putting this stuff to use.

PostalTwo reacted to Ricky Bobby in Headliner
^agreed with Brian least aggressive first. Agitate with a lug nut brush, and wrapping the head of the steamer in a MF cloth will help keep the heat down on the fabric. Put your steamer on low and yes we recommend the McCulloch's here since Adams doesn't sell a steamer

If it's a smokers car. Ugh you may want a light mist of Carpet Upholstery cleaner, and try a steamer on a low setting and scrub with the head of the steamer wrapped in a cheap all purpose towel.

PostalTwo reacted to Dan@Adams in Headliner
I haven't actually tried a steamer on a headliner yet, but I would think it would work ok. You will want to be careful with getting it too hot though, as that might weaken the glue adhesive holding the fabric to the foam and fiberglass backing material.
I usually just take a Cockpit Brush and gently brush the headliner without using any chemicals. If that isn't enough, lightly mist a little bit of Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner into the brush.

You will love the LC it has a great leather scent, goes on easily without any greasy feel afterwards. You can also use it on any interior surfaces, door panels, dash and of course leather seats.
Check out the reviews!

My wife also loves the Leather Conditioner on the couch for the non greasy feel, satin finish, and wonderful aroma that fills our living room

Couple of tips. Test the leather cleaner somewhere where you won't notice, and if you see any color bleed, dilute it before doing your seats. And once you're cleaned everything, then be SURE to use the conditioner to keep your seats, etc in the best shape. You may notice some streaking when you apply it but don't worry. That just means that some parts of your fabrics are dryer than others and have absorbed the conditioner quicker. Just reapply and keep reapplying/wiping until it's uniform. You can't hurt anything by putting more on. You're going to love the results, especially over time. Your seats will look as good in 3 years as they do new.

PostalTwo got a reaction from Coderedpl in Moving : Washing without proper hose connection
I have a pressure washer with the bucket of top for water . It works perfect . I can fill it in the house and bring it outside to wash . It does take a few bucket to complete a full wash tho . I would think rinseless would be a good option for u

This is one of the best products Adam's makes. Been using it on my Vettes and daily drivers for years and years and my seats look great. The smell is just like new car leather. No grease, no shininess. Just nice clean good smelling leather.
