  1. Guess they are proud of that extra performance killing unsprung weight and wanna make sure you pay for it.
  2. Alright you talked me into it. lol Placing order.. (and MF, sample kit, etc while at it...)
  3. Cleaning my wheels is a real PITA. lol. Currently I use a combination of a wheel brush, toothbrush, microfiber spoke brush, and small microfiber scrub pad. I've been looking for something better for the wheels and have never found it yet. I hate that on the wheel brush I use the edges bump the wheel as I'm trying to scrub it, I wish they were rubber lined like the handle. Do you guys think the Adams brush would work on these wheels or will I still need something else to get in all the little corners? I know I'll still have to use my other microfiber brush to get inside the wheels. Silver wheels are usually on for my street tires. My track/mountain wheels look like these
  4. Yes. Thank your for keeping me in mind. And thank you SS truck for the PM. Hope I can help you out with your couple projects.
  5. I love it, but it doesn't look good on every car. Just like a lot of cars wouldn't look good in orange either. I love it on the exotic and sports cars, I think it looks like poo on the Rolls and on some pickups, etc. Just depends on the car. It's gotta be the right matte too. Completely flat like the Rolls is just too much. And then there has to be some color variation- such as gloss black wheels, or on Alan's Lotus the SCC badges and other touches. Currently matte black is the most popular color of stripe kits that I sell. Second is a really cool dark metallic silver or charcoal. I stock about 7 colors in that range darker than silver but lighter than black. The Adams clear polish works amazing on them and no one would ever think they weren't paint. (it does give matte black a sheen though as to be expected) Yeah, as far as shine goes though, it's really hard to beat gloss black when it's all polished up.
  6. The easy solution is to wrap the car in matte black vinyl. If you get tired of it peel it off to reveal perfectly protected showroom new paint underneath. A lot of the ones pictured here are wraps.
  7. Alan's car is siiiick (Lotus). Nice guy. I've made some stuff for him in the past. He's a screen writer in Hollywood.
  8. Putnum was the first track I ever ran on at an all Lotus event. Was a blast. Great track to learn on. Only one real spot to total your car on the last turn before the main straight.
  9. I know a ton of guys that run Willow Springs. Actually I sponsor the Lotus Challenge Series that races there and make all the graphics, shirts, etc for it. I've made the track outline for W.S. too, so if you want a good sticker of one of those for your car just let me know. I have several of the west coast tracks. It's sad to see some of those nice cars ghettoed up with blue tape. Spend a couple bucks and get some decent numbers (from me lol) And put paint protection film on the front end and the headlights. Car is protected all the time AND looks good.
  10. Depends how creative you get. I know guys that sell race parts, and they write off their car, their upgrades, their racing, etc. Its all advertising, working, and doing business. You can always write off advertising, and maint. If your business is detailing your vehicle is an advertisement of your services and should reflect it.
  11. I hear peanut butter all the time, but no one ever says how they use it. You just smear it on with your finger? What do you use to get the peanut butter off then?
  12. I can make anything you guys need. (if Adams wants to have them made) and i only use high quality vinyl if they are stickers. If people are willing to pay for it, I can make ones that will last 10 years outdoors and then still remove easily and not leave goo behind. It's all on what you use. Or if yer a cheap *******. lol. Just today I made 4 grand format banners for a large event, 50 ringer T's, 50 full color printed non ringer T's, 35 yard signs, some 2 year decals, 2 sets of reusable race car numbers, and a couple other things. stickers or statics are no problem.
  13. Wow. High entertainment value. The announcer commentary made it even better. "firebird is trying to stage with his rear tires... gotta stage with the front like everyone else." "there goes the Firebird in reverse" I love how he is so matter of fact about it.
  14. Nice Miata. I've always liked that first body style a lot. Always figured they (or the Elans they were based on) would be a complete blast to drive. They are great track cars.
  15. At 4'9"- you'd be perfect for one! lol. It make a mini cooper look big. Do you have any of the data on the other limited Mustangs? Just curious how many there were of like Cobra's, Steeda's, Saleens, Bosses, Mach1's, etc.?
  16. For headlights wetsand with finer and finer grits then polish. Then order some headlight protection film from me to keep them that way. The clear polish is a great product. I use it and recommend it to many of my customers and I sell a ton of paint protection film and vinyl stripes, etc. It's great for buffing out scratches and such from vinyl graphics as well. The only way you would know this wasn't paint is because I told you. And well because the edge is cleaner than painted stripes typically are.
  17. Nice car. 3300 in one color one year limited production? That amuses me. 160 2008 Lotus Exige 240's in all colors is rare production. 20-30 Club racer editions also rare. And if we want to get down the rare by individual color. There has been exactly one (1) of these imported to the US. And I striped it. http://www.lotustalk.com/forums/f92/pictures-candy-red-pink-exige-s240-w-stripes-chuforiagraffix-com-59687/ Bullitt looks good though. I love that old movie. Particularly the 9 minute chase seen with absolutely zero words of witty banter, just pure car chase goodness, and lots of lost hubcaps. (and passing that same beetle)
  18. Nice. I also love this one: <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6gcwIt5nSM&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6gcwIt5nSM&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>
  19. I heard of them when they used to support LotusTalk.com They are no longer a supporting vendor, but I can certainly understand. I actually get a ton of business from the forum but don't think I can really afford to pay the $1056 to support it for another year and my sponsor status is soon to expire as well. Being a supporting vendor is expensive and time consuming. It's business. You gotta get the return. Doesn't look like they were from our small board. I like Adams grass roots feel though, for the same reason I'm also a big Zaino fan.
  20. Oh I missed this one. I have black in Medium. Look at the above post for paypal instructions.
  21. I have the same problem. Use a reg microfiber and get little lines of fuzz all over the glass. Drives me nuts. I'll definitely have to check these out.
  22. Awesome, just send paypal to SweetDaddyDelicious@hotmail.com and make a note in the notes section for Nissan "Bull-Shift" shirt, black, size L I have 2XL in stock in black and royal blue shirts.
  23. Oh if you want one I'll make it. Black shirt red print sound good? What size? $20 sound fair? Shipping will only be $3.
  24. That's just tradition. Even the Vette is always knocked for it's crap GM plastic interior and Cavilier steering wheel.
  25. I love the shirt with the 'ring outline. 7:29 in the middle. And the nissan Shift slogan below it with the word "bull" in front of it. It was fantastic. I've never been able to find it again, half thought about making a couple of them up
