Couldn't be more true...my wife always tells me two things....

    1. You take it too personal (When they aren't excited as I am upon pick-up)

    2. I don't think you'd enjoy this as a profession....my worst fear is that she is correct.

Our last clinic here at the warehouse (couple weeks back) we were demo'ing on the hood of a black audi... the surface temps according to our IR thermometer before we started polishing was 148*. That doesn't directly answer your question, obviously, but that'll give you an idea... 120 isn't too bad.

If you just want to add more wax you can either add more Americana or Buttery on top of what's there.  Your wax won't last forever and that's a quick "maintenance" step.

If starting from scratch the recommended order is:

    1:  Sealant
    2:  Glaze
    3:  Wax

Do yourself a favor and just go ahead and get the Premium or Ultimate kit. Once you try something from Adam's, you'll be hooked, and end up getting it all anyway.

That's a totally different scenario than intentionally scratching it with a duster

I use my Cal Duster to dust off my garage cabinets.  Very handy.

    Never touches my car.

Mike, if you let that duster touch your car you just worked so hard to get dialed in, I'll personally come to your house and hit you in the head with it!

Then throw it in the garbage can.

Or if the car sat on a dealer lot for 2 months, was 'washed' daily, then dried with an old ratty chamois!  (Washing at a typical dealership = high pressure rinse, let dry, then dry VERY quickly, dragging a chamois on the ground half of the time.)

Certain dealerships are great, however, most wash as I've described above.  Most new cars need to be clayed, corrected, and waxed or sealed.

Great input, you guys are hired!

I'd just add that not all steps are always needed.  If the paint needs correcting, correct it!  If not, skip it!

The Rupes is a good machine, and if it provided better results than the Cyclo, and was made in the USA, we would consider it!  However, we have been achieving equal results with the Cyclo.   I'm Italian, and love Italy!  However, Italy is not where I was born and raised, so whenever possible, I like to support the United States of America.

I was amazed the first time I used it as well! People that don't have it, have NO idea what they're missing!

For Liquid Sealant the Yellow and Americana hex have the same foam on the face of the pad, just different color.  So either of those hexes are good for Sealant/Waxing.

Only difference is the black-handled hexes are of a stiffer foam themselves than the Blue foam of the Americana hex (per Mook in an earlier post which I read), so the black-handled hexes might be easier on the hands (I think they were made softer as to be able to be compressed into the Americana container!)

I personally use the MF applicators for Glass Sealant/Rain-X application, as well as Leather Conditioner application and occasionally for VRT application on trim.  I used to use them for sealant but I have a Hex grip, a red UFO applicator and the Americana mini applicator as well which makes me all full of applicators lol!
