How much wheel cleaner is too much?
stingrayc7 replied to lamb110's question in Wheels, Tires, Trim, & Undercarriage
I do 16 wheels with the 16 oz bottle (19+20 inch wheels) but once every 3 months or so, and weekly maintenance wash with car shampoo + brushes.. This has been my method since day one. -

Road Rage
stingrayc7 replied to musclejunkie's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
Definitely! I have a Nissan versa with no Xpel protection and a Vette with full hood, fenders and bumper Xpel protected, The nissan is trashed after the first 2 years and I had to repaint it! while the vette looks like new.. Xpel ultimate is worth the investment.. -
Apc for interior
stingrayc7 replied to Dwhite0960's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
No problem.. You'll be surprised how versatile rinseless is (Door jambs, Engine-Wheels wipe, Glass, Interior) -
Apc for interior
stingrayc7 replied to Dwhite0960's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I would say APC diluted 4:1 - 5:1 is fine for interior but always test on a small area before proceeding.. If you have rinseless wash, it works for interiors and it does a good job at 128:1 -

I've been a customer for almost 2 years and I live overseas, I always order from Adam's and my orders gets delivered to a US based merchandise forwarding company which consolidate all my orders from different websites and ship them to me for a reasonable price.. Look up MyUS and get a membership.. -
Few days ago I have decided to do a weekend project, strip wash, clay, glaze and wax and thought about using the yellow hex grip applicator to apply the buttery wax, I ordered the applicator some time in 2015 and it stayed in storage for a while and almost forgot about it, but I found it where I keep my new towels and I was disappointed to see it look like this... Any idea what may have caused this? as my other red and blue hex grips look just fine although they've been used few times but this one is new!

I had the best experience in the business with Adam's customers service! They solved every issue I had although I live overseas (middle east) great products + great service, you can't find that everywhere. Talking about products, few days ago I finally had a chance to try the fender brush, it is well made and feels premium, but unfortunately I couldn't use it on my corvette stingray as it gets stuck inside the fender well, I hope you guys make another "Low profile" version for these cars.

Which wash sponge?
stingrayc7 replied to Cwilliams's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
Used the wash wedge couple days ago for the first time and it was great, I believe I will keep using it instead of pads and mitts. -
Hello everyone! We just came back from a two and a half months vacation in Europe (Me and the Stingray) I've been to 5 countries and a dozen cities and hundreds of highways.. Weekly rinseless washes and sometimes I hit the wheels with a pressure washer whenever I find one. I'd like to give the Stingray a full detailing job when it arrives and I ordered the new Big blue clay bar which is missing. I have 2 questions: 1- What grade is Adam's big blue clay bar? fine, medium or aggressive? 2- Will the clay bar damage (in anyway) my nano ceramic coating or degrade it? Thanks..

Maintenance Wheel Cleaner?
stingrayc7 replied to MattieDSC's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I use 1 oz of car shampoo + water in a foaming sprayer plus my brushes for weekly maintenance.. If I leave them get so dirty for weeks I use the wheel cleaner to remove iron and heavy brake dust. -
Thanks for the tips, I might even need to do a swipe test before applying the tire coating.

Great post Doc! I finally got my gallon of Adam's APC! tired of other brands that won't get rid of all that dirt of my tires! couple questions about diluting APC here, 1-What's the best ratio of dilution for a weekly cleaning of my tires? 2-I'm going to do a permanent coating for the tires with this product I bought recently & the tires should be super clean and stripped from any dressings & silicon .. I believe I should hit it with full strength of APC but the question is.. how many times should I do this process , I've seen people do it multiple times and then apply the coating but not with Adam's APC, Thanks!
