gapwedge got a reaction from Kimberly in First full Adam Product Use from polish to wax
Up until recently I had been a Zaino product user and was pleased with the results. Lately I had been gradually adding and using Adam products as needed. Today marks the first time I used Adam's from polish to wax.
My Lexus only needed the Finishing Polish to remove the light swirl marks on the 2010. Next I applied Liquid Paint Sealant. Both the Polish and Sealant were applied using a Griot's Garage using 4" foam pads. Next step was the Brillant Glaze which I applied by hand. After just receiving my order of the Americana wax it was applied by hand using the included pad putting on 2 thin coats. All buffing was with the Adam's white double side towels.
Pics show the results with lots of reflections. Mirror finish was an understatement. It was blinding. Though I have some Zaino products left I am sold on Adam's products.

Jeff, my Lexus has probably the softest paint (read easy to scratch and leave swirl marks) on any vehicle and I've used the Finishing Polish with a DA machine without any fear with great results. Try the Liquid Paint Sealant>Brilliant Glaze>Americana wax combination.

Using Adam's Polishes with a dual action orbital machine will not damage your paint. My Lexus probably has one of the softest paints around. I use the Finishing Polish with a Griot's Garage 6" and 4" polishing machine without any fear of marring my paint. Use it with confidence.

Hope to try Americana wax next week for the first time which will take me completely through the circuit of wash, clay, polish, seal, glaze, and wax. Thanks Jason. Appreciate the feedback!

Though the body was "detailed" at the dealership when I got it home and ran my fingers lightly across several sections it was clear the car had about 4 years of contamination.  After washing with blue Dawn liquid dishwashing detergent to remove the dealership wax I clay barred the entire vehicle.  Some areas required a second pass.
After washing it again I carefully inspected for swirls or deeper scratches.  No scratches, but obviously there were swirls everywhere.  Knowing that Lexus paint is 'soft' I opted to use the whitle pad with Adam's Finishing Polish using my new GriotsGarage 6" orbital beginning with a quarter panel to test.  The Finishing Polish did the trick so I did not need to use the Correction Polish/Orange pad.
Once the car was polished I buffed and applied liquid paint sealant.  Since I don't have the Americana wax yet, the sealant will be my last stage.  Obviously, this is my daily driver so I am ok for now with no wax.
I am new to Adam's products switching over from Z's products and I have to say I am impressed with the ease of application.
At Subway today and someone asked how I liked my 2014 Lexus.  They were shocked to hear it was a 2010 with 50,000 miles.

Well, I used the GG 6" orbital using the white pad and machine finishing polish.  All I had on the paint were swirls with no scratches.  And with the car paint being soft I tested a quarter panel.  Once satisfied I finished the entire vehicle.  After the polishing I could not see any swirls so I sealed.  No wax.

Nothing wrong with using Griot's DA orbital with Adam's Products. I'm impressed with ALL of Adam's Products and I'm the biggest skeptic out there. I'm not a professional detailer, so I'm satisfied with my GG machine's performance. But I'm sold on Adam's Products.

I took on a huge project for me in my wife's GMC 2014 Denali. I am slowly adding to my Adam's products which will eventually replace all of my Zaino products. Today's detail I used my new Griot's Garage orbital machine with 4" Adam's foam pads. After washing with Dawn I checked for oxidation and did not need to clay. So I started with Adam's Finishing Polish. I liked the ease that it went on with my GG machine, but even more impressed with the ease of buffing it off. I used 1 white pad, but used the Adam's brush to clean it periodically. Next I applied the Adam's Liquid Paint Sealant. Coming from a long time Zaino user I was very impressed with the ease of removing with my buffing towel, but I was actually even more surprised with the quick cure time and the resulting wet shine and slickness. I have some Brillant Glaze, but decided not to use it. I did use the Liquid Paint Sealant on the chrome 20" wheels as I am still waiting on my Quick Sealant to arrive.
After today's detailing I was able to compare Zaino's to Adam's and I have to say Adam's has the better product line. I like the idea of correcting defects rather than just concealing them and especially not having to add a quick cure additive to achieve what already comes out of the bottle from Adam's.

gapwedge got a reaction from Ricky Bobby in What made you choose Adam's products?
To be honest I have been and still use Zaino products. However, I have been phasing them out and switching over to Adam's (over $200 worth of products so far) for a couple of reasons: I recently bought an orbital polisher machine, their forum, and for their customer service. I am looking forward to trying their products. Very impressed.

^^ What Eric said. Nothing wrong with having to clay an ares twice. I find I sometimes miss the areas where the hood meets the quarter panels right next to the seam, etc.

I've tried a lot of paste waxes over my 61 years and by far the Americana is the easiest on/off I have used and I apply it by hand. Note: 2 thin coats are better than 1 heavy coat.

Maybe it can be spread on thinly by hand. But comparing the 2 ways I've tried the machine method seems much more efficient. Now Glaze is another story. I find it easy to apply by hand. I'll save the LPS for my machine and use the Quick Sealant by hand.

I know there is a way to test a wheel to see whether or not its clear coated or not, but if anyone knows already let me know. I'm detailing my wife's 2014 Denali over the Labor Day weekend and it comes with some really nice wheels.

I thought Liquid Paint Sealant was going to be my LSP until my order arrived earlier in the week that included Brilliant Glaze. All I say is there is a WOW factor after I applied the Glaze to my metallic red Lexus. Some on here say Glaze is not for them, but for this old man's eyes it POPS. Now I'm waiting on my order of Americana to arrive.

Plugged in and used my new GG 6" orbital yesterday for the first time! After claying I inspected my '10 Lexus ES350 and decided to go ahead and use some left over AIO polish I had using the white pad. After buffing, I then used another clean white pad with Adam's Finishing Polish. Using a machine definitely speeds up the process. Loved it. Once I complete my detail I'll post some pics.

On my last order I got the carpet cleaner even though I just put new carpeted mats in my car. I did use it today on our light blue carpeted bath mat that was soiled from foot traffic. This stuff rocks. A must have item.
