Rick72 got a reaction from falcaineer in My daughters take on Adam's Products ( she is 6)
This is most likely the wrong place to post this but parents will appreciate it.
I was looking at the Adams website and my daughter walked up and wanted to see what I was doing. She is learning to read and asked if she could read some  of the things I was looking at...GAME ON! She wanted to start with the pink stuff, Detail Spray! and worked our way up to the Hex Grip Tire applicator. Then we went over to my car care stash and I let her smell some of the different products in my go bag. Let a 6 year old smell the products and you get a whole new perspective.

    She said:
Leather Conditioner -smells like the thrift store or Lowes
Car Shampoo -loves the color smells like Motrin
SVRT -smells like chicken pot pie
    TID -smells like baby powder

    Awesome

Side note - Car care should always be fun. She assisted with her first rinse-less wash yesterday.
I have a feeling if you make some more pink products you will have a customer for life !
Kids carwash kit would be great wouldn't it? She is going to wash her bicycle in the bathtub today
I think waterless will be the way to go.

Take an old rag or something next time and spread the product around evenly and you will be all good.  Spray, leave it there for a minute or so, wipe off/spread the excess around.

I concur, Adam's Waterless cleans and wipes away completely.  It's the perfect side item to use under hood, door jams, trunk area, etc....plus it smells good too!

    1. Detail Spray (never smelled the original)
    2. Lilac (this was my favorite Little Tree Freshener, but was discontinued some time in the 90's)
    3. Total Interior Detailer
    4. Leather Conditioner
    5. Glass Cleaner

Please, PLEASE, develop an air deodorizer. Never mind the naysayers - they know not what they speak.

My favorite is the ribbed hoses under the hood, like on intake tubes and things. Something very gratifying about making those parts look nice in almost no time flat.

Mainly under the hood, but exterior in tight spots, grills with black plastic, and AC vents on the inside.

It depends to me. If it is pretty clean then waterless wash will do. If it hasn't really had a cleaning yet then a hose would be best I would say. If it helps any, I was nervous to taking a hose to my engine bay but after seeing people at the car wash do it without thinking twice about it I said why not and did it. I used some plastic bags and covered any exposed wires that might be an issue and used all purpose cleaner and let the cleaner do most of the work and I rinsed it off. No issues at all.

If you pop the hood and see things you are not sure needs to be covered then cover it just to be safe. but if you have a more recent car most things are covered already. Look at the adams video on washing the engine bay, they didn't even need to cover anything. I think you will be ok. make sure the engine has cooled down.

BTW its pollen season here where Im at and the pollen gets bad in the engine bay. I tried using waterless wash for it and it was no use..Things like that will need to be hosed.

    ^Me as well.

However, if you are looking to do a less water, hose-less engine bay cleaning, Garry Dean did a great one on Youtube I believe.

Basically spray your cool engine down with APC, agitate with brushes, then take a dampened MF towel with rinseless and wipe down the cleaner and take the grime away with it.  Maybe a spritz of diluted Rinseless with a separate MF towel to wipe down any residues, and then dress your plastics as normal with VRT or sprayable VRT, In and Out, etc...

Looks typical of dealer washes.  Good amount of swirling, but nothing appears deep.  It's going under the detailing knife in the next week or two to get a full correction.

I know how you feel. My issue is I have tried so many products over the past 4 years that I have too much stuff ! I promised my self I'm going to use up as much as possible before I buy any more products (tools are not included in this). I am going to have to start a daily two bucket routine or start washing the neighbors cars.

Seriously guys, back on topic here

Can you clean soap soap with soap soap or do you need to use soap to clean soap soap? In other words, will I need 1 or 2 new buckets?
