  1. That’s what I call wearing the pants! HAHA

Haha. She does have an auto start though. But my daily TBSS doesn’t and it lives outside also.

The birds don’t stay outside ever in the winter and have extremely rarely left out in the summer. Before either my son or girlfriend were around.

  2. We used to offer Brilliant Glaze in gallon size a few years back, but it sold poorly so it was discontinued in that size option. I do apologize for the inconvenience.

I brought up discussion for Odor Neutralizer, Strip Wash, and Ceramic Boost gallons again earlier this afternoon with the team. I can't promise anything, but I am making them aware that there is some demand for these items.

Is there a big demand for gallons of Strip wash? I bought a 32oz and maybe used it twice in a year.

Ceramic Boost would probably be nice in a gallon size.

  3. Hey guys do you feel its ok to use ceramic boost weekly after every wash? Or will it start to cloud up like wax does when you add too many coats?

No need. It lasts plenty long. I’m only reboosting the Ceramic Coated cars once every 6 months and it’s held up great waiting that long.

  4. I agree with Galaxy.

This car is a daily driven, lives outside all year, and washed with drive through car washes. I one stepped with the heavy correction polish on the top surfaces. Then one stepped the sides with the orange correction polish. Finally topped with paint sealant.

  5. The pad and correction polishes and compounds do play a big roll. Along with the machine speed and how long, fast or slow you work a panel. Adam’s has how to videos on buffing and they also talk about speeds and technique.

I know other very experienced guys will drop in here and give more detailed info.

This video is a great starting point. Even after all my years (growing up around) of buffing new paint at a body shop I was running my Flex too slow.

  6. For me it is usually cheaper to buy from Adams and pay the shipping, than to go to a dealer. The dealer close to me usually charges 3-5$ more a bottle and usually has the older version of things.

Since the dealer probably isn’t getting free freight. That’s to keep from absorbing the freight charges that can kill a small business.
  7. I’m covering the cars I store in my shop for the winter also. I look at it as just an extra layer of protection if something or someone gets too close. I can easily buff a small rub from the cover if there is one but the risk of a scratch on exposed paint would cost a lot here.

  8. Once the box leave Adams they have no control over how long it take the shipping company to deliver something. I can order a box Fed ex 2 day (which is cheapest for me) and I usually get it in 3 to 4 days because of where I live.

For me here getting a box in 3-4 days is fast. So you guys don’t realize how lucky you are you can even get ground freight.

  9. I've tried Boost but it added an extra step which makes my washes go over 2 hours. Thus taking me away from spending time with my 6 year old. Plus any over spray on the glass is a pain to get off and I had streaks on the paint that I could not get rid of. I also didn't think it beaded the water as well as the H2O G&G.

H2O G&G is very easy to use, applied while it's still wet as you dry. You can apply it over everything. Including the glass which means you won't need any Glass Sealant. Then I use Wash&Wax soap which prolongs the protection and water beading very nicely.

  10. Thanks. I'm pretty happy with the results and the customers have loved what they got back.

But my shoulders are killing me on this trailer. This is a lot of paint even though it's just a flat surface. Lol

Sucks that it's too tall to fit in my shop. So I'm cold weather testing the Correcting Polish.

  11. Here are a few projects I've worked on lately at my shop.

The first one is a 54 Ford Custom. I made 2 new door glass for it, washed it up with some Waterless Wash. Then finished with Americana.

The 40' Motorhome, he wanted the front and lower section cleaned and protected with a good coat of wax. So I cleaned it with Wash and Wax then finished it with Paint Sealant.

The current project is this 24' Stacker Trailer and Toterhome (not here yet). This is getting one step corrected with the Correcting Polish then finished with Wash and Wax. This is a serious shoulder work out. It's taken me about 11 hours to complete one side and the front. You can easily see the before and after on the sideways pictures of front of this trailer.

  12. The paint coating is awesome. I've applied it to 6 vehicles and everyone loves it.

I did our Pontiac Solstice this winter while in storage. It lives outside and is daily driven in the summer. It's so easy to wash, nothing really sticks to the paint. I bucket wash with wash and wax every time. I have not reboosted it yet and it still beads water like a champ. When we put it back in storage shortly I'll do it's first Reboost.
