  1. Has anyone here had their under carriage cleaned by dry ice blasting? Your thoughts and approximate cost. I have a 69 corvette that I was thinking about trying it on. The closest place is about 100 miles from where I live. They only do it in the spring and fall here in my area, east Tn..

    thank you for any info

  2. Hey guys had some US MAGS wheels made for my Six4. Upon purchasing I cleaned and coated them after having tires mounted per Adams procedure. Used Adams products and after a few road trips washed and applied a coat of Adams Ceramic wax. Have done this a couple times now. Just cant get them to pop like I want. Its just a polished lip, wheel face is powdered coated thankfully. Have some Budniks on my 33 that shine like they should, not coated btw. I also have to be real careful at a show when wiping the car down the wheels will scratch easily if I'm not careful when prepping it. Any suggestions?? Here's some pictures of them, 1st and 2nd pic is today. 3rd pic right after coating. Then the last two are of my Budniks which are going on 15 years old..I have Adams Metal polish 1 and 2 they didnt seem to help. This is whats I use on Budniks.

I have a buffing wheel for my Dewalt drill seems to make them worse. Hand rubbing seems better. Doing something wrong..

It comes down to what type of vehicle are you normally using it on.

Large flat panels, mid to full size pickups as an example, the 15mm
Small vehicles with lots of odd shaped panels, the 12mm

    Well I do have 2 large suv's.

Tahoe and wifes Escalade. 64 Biscayne has large flat panels as well. Corvette's.

I have my older Porter Cable with standard 6.5 that does well.. I do have a smaller backing plate for it but it's still rather large for smaller areas.

Purchased a small backing plate for my Dewalt Cordless drill but when I apply any pressure it free wheels...Can't seem to get it tight enough.

Yes, safe for those surfaces and same process as on a car. Just understand if you polish that gel coats generally need more effort compared to your typical clear coat, it's usually a harder surface. For the seat, consider the Leather and Vinyl Coating instead. Don't expect the same longevity for either one on the jet ski, though.

Do you just use the Surface prep to clean the plastic/vinyl areas then coat? Guess there will be no rainbowing on these surfaces.

  5. He friend wanted me to coat his like new jet ski. All I have done are vehicles in the past.  Is the Adam's Graphene ok to use on the plastic and rubber parts of the exterior? Any different steps to take? I Wasn't going to do the seat for fear of making it too slick and possibly difficult to hang on. Any help in these areas would be appreciated.

    Tks Dan

Great question and with the amount of great products it’s tough to choose. I have a black ceramic coated zl1(9H ceramic pro coated 1500$ Bronze package) vehicle which I have found reacts really well to ceramic waterless wash and the graphene detail spray. Regular waterless wash really shines also. I find I have to do small sections at a time. Apply and buff with different towel.  I used ceramic boost and the product ceramic pro gave me and neither went on well for me.

good luck - black is tough to keep clean!  I’m touching my girl every night 😝

  7. Hey guys have a question about possibly removing a step or two before applying GCC. My good friend brought his wife brand new 2022 Lexus ES350 with 525 miles on it over and wanted me to ceramic coat it.

I did a 2 bucket wash then iron remover on it, this paint is slick!!! I don't believe it needs claying ( plastic baggy glided easily) or polishing before coating. Thought about doing the One Step pad and polish/ surface prep/GCC if a polishing step is better before coating. Would another pad and polish be better if any???

Thank you for your help in advance

    Dan

  8. As Mc2Hill recommended thought I'd give the Stingray alittle love using Brilliant Glaze then Americana. When I did the Biscayne it had been a few weeks in-between the BG & AMERICANA. Today I went back to back. I did remove the BG before applying the Americana. Turned out very nice.

Just did a waterless wash on her first as she wasn't really dirty, still have to do the wheels but almost ready for Corvette Expo in Pigeon Forge mid March.

  9. Are people still using these waxes and Polishes? I hope so.. With the ceramic craze everyone seems to go that route. I still like the  glazes & polishes for most of my vehicles with Guard Gloss as my sealer for daily drivers.

I've only coated one of my cars, it did well and looks great. I'm just one of those guys that like rubbing on my gals I suppose 😁

  10. Have had a new container of  Americana for a few months now. Never have used this product. Decided to give it a try while watching the game today. Put a coat on BisQuick and Goodness does this wax apply wonderfully. Did panel by panel but don't believe it would have mattered. It removed just as easily as it applied. Gave the paint alittle deeper wetter look. Think I'll do the wife's Escalade next with it. Here's a few after pics. Great winter therapy..

    Hi Dan,

Using Brilliant Glaze as a topper does give it a pop just like over regular wax.  However, it does not last long and based on the coated vehicles that I've used it on it seems to affect the longevity, but it does look great.   What I have been doing for the Graphene Spray Coated vehicles is use the Graphene Detail spray.  As much as I love Brilliant Glaze, I believe that going over a Graphene Spray Coated vehicle with Graphene Detail Spray gives a better look and it does not diminish the longevity from what I have observed so far.

The one thing that Brilliant Glaze can do that I have not accomplished yet with regular CS3 or Graphene Detail Spray is that BG will hide minor marring and defects.  I tested a BG + Graphene Detail Spray on some marring on a fender and the results where fantastic.

I suspect the Graphene CS3 to be in the same category, but I do not have enough time using it to provide an opinion one way or the other.  Both the Graphene Detail Spray and Graphene CS3 leave impressive results.

That's awesome info Ray. Tk u. I'll give that a try..

From my experience CS3 can work as a stand alone project for several months. YouTubers have done durability tests and it’s really held up also.

If you enjoy cleaning. Be sure to use iron remover then any type of surface prep. Then apply spray coating. Then use CS3 when you want.

If you don’t like cleaning. Iron remover if you want or not and just continue to use CS3.

My opinion and I do overkill

I had a 2022 rental car a few months back with zero protection on it. I divided the hood into 3 parts with CS3, graphene detail spray, and ceramic waterless wash. I sprayed the hood down and couldn’t tell a difference in water behavior meaning they all beaded exactly the same.

I washed the hood 2 times and the detail spray didn’t bead as much but the other 2 still worked great.

Ok thank you brother. I'll have to get some iron remover for future. Have plenty of CS3.

What's your opinion on a light coat of Brilliant Glaze as a finisher/topper for alittle pop on coatings???

I have the similar question asked about steps to boost/reapply graphene ceramic. I read the article from Dan. Very helpful Thank you. I have everything except a decontamination product. Is a wash with Adams shampoo and then wipe down with surface prep enough then CS3 or Graphene detail spray, I have both along with Ceramic Spray Coating? Is one of these 3 best ?  Is there another decontamination way without ordering a Adams specific product for this if this step is vital...

    thanks in advance

I just looked and have Graphene Ceramic Spray Coating as well. It's been 1 year since I applied the Ceramic Coating. Garage kept but daily driver. I'm thinking this may be my best choice. Decontamination still biggest question. Don't have it..

Wow, that is a beautiful car!

My 'go to' for show cars is Brilliant Glaze, topped with Americana.  That combo really makes the paint pop.

I am in complete agreement with @mc2hill and if you want a little extra pop for a show you can top the Americana with another layer of Brilliant Glaze.  Do the extra layer the night before or morning of the show for the best results.

    Thank you Ray....will do...

  17. Hey guys just had my 64 Biscayne paint freshened up. Final wet sand and buff I could see some imperfections when I got it home under my lights. Hit it with One Step polish and pad, then Adams Polish/Finish Polish and light coat of Brilliant Glaze. Would a coat of Americana or Buttery enhance it anymore or what else if anything? Thank you guys for your advice in advance..
