  1. I pressure wash 'em on mine, I used to give it a scrub but, that was too much work, it's a truck, they're wheel wells, they're supposed to be a little dirty lol.
  2. I like G&G quite a bit, never tried anything else except LPS. I do LPS every 6 months, H2O G&G I try to do every 4-6 weeks....

    Sad news...

So sorry for your loss. Since I was about 10 years old, for the most part I've had a dog or now two around. I now have two Golden Retrievers Abby & Cadence, 6 and 7 yrs old respectively who I would take a bullet for. People who aren't dog people won't understand how closely you bond with a dog. I always tell my wife that if I had to choose between her or the dogs, she'd win but only because she will out live the dogs by a long shot. You can have friends with four legs but, I promise none can be as loyal or love you as much as the ones on four feet do.
  4. Sounds like you're on the right track. I have a 2016 Silverado Double Cab, before that it was a 2014 Sierra Double Cab. These big trucks take some time to detail so start early on a saturday and give your self plenty of time, nothing good comes from rushing through a detail. The DD kit looks like a good deal, don't skip the clay bar. I would consider adding some liquid paint sealant twice a year and applying and honestly if you can spare about 4 hours twice a year it would really be worth it at some point to give the truck a good polish with something like a porter cable da polisher and adams paint correcting polish and paint finishing polish. If you do the washing right you shouldn't need the paint correcting polish every time.
  5. I dry with air as much as possible but, like others said if you're not using detail spray, you're gonna have a baddddd time.
  6. HA that's great! Link where I can buy those? It was 50 and sunny yesterday so no need but, come next fall I'll be looking for something like that
  7. Washed up the Silverado and the Mazda6, hit the Chevy with some detail spray while I dried it. Shine it up nice but, crap that truck takes forever to dry with a towel I used a waffle weave. I usually just blow my vehicles dry with just a sheet rinse and my trusty leaf blower. I get a water spot or two but, it saves a ton of time.
  8. I have tried this a few times but, for whatever reason my truck always turns into a static mess if I dry it with towels. I just do the water pooling method and then hit it with a leaf blower to get most of the water off.... A few water sports looks better than a truck covered in dirt after one trip around the block.
  9. Washed and H20'ed both of the vehicles today. I should have clay bared the new truck because it needs it but, with the rest of winter left to go I figured I'll just let it go until spring when I do a full correction and LPS. The car had LPS in September but, I'm glad to boost that, my wife drives it on the highway a lot and most of the dirt just blasts away with a pressure washer when I clean it thanks to the sealant.
  10. 2016 Silverado LT. Just some Adams car wash today, the dealer put a coat of wax on it before I took it home, doubt it is great but, with snow in the forecast for most of the next 5 days, I didn't have the heart to even to an H2O.
  11. Those new Chargers do look pretty sick, nice upgrade.
  12. Nice work on the burb, I have a '14 Sierra, that clear coat is hard to get right... I still have some spots on the side of my bed I can't correct with the microfiber pad and paint correction polish.
  13. I'd add in a strip wax, I just pickup some meguiars royal purple and add in some original dawn dish soap. Then clay the truck and apply LPS. I've done this on three different vehicles now and it seems to be the ticket.
  14. I concur that the HGG works really well, I did both my vehicles w/ LPS about a month to 45 days ago and hit 'em both with HGG yesterday and today. Nice gloss for sure.
  15. Lookin sharp, I did the same to my Sierra today and figure it maybe the last wash at home for a while.
  16. Used the H20 G&G for the first time today on my truck, GREAT Stuff!
  17. I haven't yet but, I probably will give in to the itch and buy some buttery in the spring to layer over my LPS.
  18. Washed & hit the GMC W/ Adams Car Shampoo & H20G&G today, Mazda 6 will get the same tomorrow! Hoping the LPS I put on a month ago on both plus the H20 will help them survive the Ohio winter also maybe I'll get lucky and have a warm day in January to H20 'em again.
  19. Hey guys, any tips to keep the static down when washing towels ? My truck is a dust magnet after I wipe it down to the point where it looks like it needs washed 24 hours later, where as if I just use a leaf blower to dry it looks clean all week if we don't get any rain.
  20. It was 45-50 here yesterday and liquid paint sealant was easy as ever apply and remove.
  21. 2015 Chevy Silverado in Tungsten Metallic (chevy lays on the flake thick in this color). My buddies truck, I owed him a favor so, it got a strip wash with meguiars royal purple & dawn cocktail, autoscrub clay alternative & liquid paint sealant. He was mostly just looking for protection but, the shine is pretty sweet too!
