Washing tips if you don't live in a shady area?
gabhart replied to Scooter McGoo's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
Night washing is great! I try to start as soon as the sun is off my driveway which this time of year is about 8pm. Only downfall for me is dealing with the bugs that refuse to leave me alone! -
It's the product that turned me on to Adams. Great stuff!

Both cars gone. What a shame! I was hoping to take advantage of the last sale GM had on the SS but the purchase of a new house got in the way! Great looking Camaro btw!

Sounds like something I would do!

H20 GG over Undercarriage spray?
gabhart replied to joelilton23's question in Wheels, Tires, Trim, & Undercarriage
G&G is targeted for quick paint protection and drying assist. I can't imagine how it would be beneficial on plastics especially in wheel wells. -

I have no experience with coatings but I have to thank you for the write up. Looking forward to hearing from other experienced users on your questions! -

Push mowed my new 1/2 acre lot and made the decision to finally purchase a riding mower. 1/2 acre does not sound like much but when you are dealing with drainage ditches and a good amount of slopes it wears on you quick. Thoughts of doing it with a push mower in 100 degree weather.....

Perfect Paint Need wax suggestion
gabhart replied to musclejunkie's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I agree with Michael: 90 days before putting any sealer or wax on fresh paintwork from a body shop. Didn't you ask the shop that did the work? Seems if you are on this forum that would be one of the first questions you would have asked when you picked up the car! -
Got it. Thanks for clearing that up. I wanted to make sure nothing was missed since I plan on going down the coating road soon.

Was something deleted? How was this "worked out in the end"?

Tyre & Rubber Cleaner smell
gabhart replied to joelilton23's question in Wheels, Tires, Trim, & Undercarriage
Cherry Vanilla cough syrup scent??? That's the last thing I smell! Smells like my wife's hair after she gets a perm! Works great though so not complaining! -
I know this has been touched on before but can someone explain why glaze is going over wax? I though glaze was to add shine along with temporary filling minor imperfections and the wax kinda seals everything in and adds additional "pop"? I have always gone with (in order) Wash Polish Glaze Sealer Wax (optional)

Foam cannon goes boom?
gabhart replied to Greg from GA's question in Washing, Drying, and Decontamination
Came within a few inches of shooting my wife's brand new SUV. Needless to say I double check every time now to make sure things are tight before applying pressure! -

H2O G&G for new vehicle
gabhart replied to fly4food84's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
I used nothing but G&G the first 6 months with my wife's new SUV with great results. For the winter I recently applied a glaze and sealer. I plan to maintain it with G&G every 3rd or 4th wash. -
Drying Aid After Every Wash?

Detail spray and G&G every 3rd or 4th wash. -
Adam's Ceramic Boost is a cutting-edge new product that complements Adam's Paint Coating, adding an even slicker surface, more gloss, and prolongs the life of the ceramic coating. Ceramic Boost can also be used by itself, offering several months of protection and shine in a quick and easy-to-use spray-on and buff-off sealant that contains silica protection like our Wash & Wax. Ceramic Boost works almost effortlessly on a vehicle surface that has been treated with Adam's Paint Coating. It does not require a long set-up time - spray it evenly across the painted surface, use a plush, premium Adam's Microfiber Towel to spread and work the product into the surface, and then either flip the towel over or use a second towel to buff it to a streak-free finish, much like how you would use Adam's Detail Spray. Adam's Ceramic Boost also has hydrophobic properties that will not only bead water incredibly well, it will repel water from the surface - making it more difficult for dirt, mud, and other road grime to stick to the surface and allowing for easier maintenance cleanup as well. Step up your detailing game with this product, you're going to love it, 110% satisfaction guaranteed! INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Wash vehicle, thoroughly rinse, and dry, following our videos. 2. Generously spray Adam’s Ceramic Boost over a panel to be treated. 3. Using a premium Adam’s Microfiber Towel, spread evenly over surface. 4. Flip the towel over or use a second towel to lightly buff away residue. 5. Repeat for most exterior surfaces – paint, plastic, and chrome. 6. Apply to wheels last. Do not use on glass. Common Sense Warning: This product will work best on a clayed and polished surface that has already been treated with Adam’s Paint Coating. Work quickly if using in direct sun to avoid streaks or spotting.

Unofficial Official Trim Coating thread
gabhart replied to GXPaycheck's question in Exterior Protection & Enhancement
Brian, if you are asking questions because you are considering trying this out please let me know. I would like to see the results if you pull the trigger! -
I've converted my G8 over to LEDs (except headlights) from superbrightleds.com. Been over a year with no issues. I went xenon (HID) for the headlights because I like the way they "pop" when they ignite plus the white instead of orange light they put out makes a world of difference!

I'm thinking it will not work well with rubber that flexes a lot. Sounds like when it cures it will be somewhat hard (ceramic) and may crack if flexed too much? -
Product Checklist

I literally started a similar list yesterday! I'm not into "collecting them all" but my inventory between 2 brands has gotten out of hand! I think it's a good idea.
