  1. I was just about to post this. Yes, the majority is made in the USA but Adam specifically reported he is moving to more products made outside the US for good business reasons. I will stick with Adams because I know only the best will be sold regardless where it is manufactured.
  2. I use a DA to apply everything including wax. Black pad, no pressure and only 1 to 2 passes will get a nice thin even coat and it applies quickly. I get excellent results!
  3. Scott, did you work out something with Frank?
  4. Some people have all the luck!
  5. GXP or just a swapped front clip? Nice car BTW!
  6. H20 G&G is a great product! When I got home from work yesterday I saw some bird poop and a rather large insect committed suicide on my hood. Upon closer inspection I saw the poop and bug guts both had beaded and streaked! I never witnessed this with any other sealer or wax. Wish I took a picture but I was in a hurry to get that stuff off my paint, which btw both removed easily.
  7. Nice! Just went through there last week on the way to and from Nashville TN. Ill be riding my bike over that way soon since it's so nice out that way.

Agree but I find myself suffering through a lot of the programming anyway since I love cars so much. I am liking Extra Gear and Chris Harris On Cars on BBC America as well.
  9. During the drying process I use detail spray on the wheels. Helps get a little extra protection and aids in getting the brake dust off during the next wash.
  10. Welcome! Where are you in NC? I'm in the Raleigh area.
  11. Bite your tongue! I actually agree with you on the new Mustang. Checked one out at the dealer and felt the itch to trade my G8. Didn't happen though!
  12. Installed and repaired land mobile communications, emergency lighting and high end stereo and mobile camera systems in specialty vehicle such as armored cars and limos. Favorite customer was the Prince of Saudi Arabia! (many years ago, no disclosure issues) Moved to field service, bench technician then System Operations for a cable company. Got laid off and worked installing in house alarm systems. Moved to Network Operations for another cable company and now work for a cellular/broadcast tower builder and leasing company supporting their Network Operations Center and project management.
  13. I clean them every time I wash. Usually just soap and a scrub brush does the trick with a dressing after they are dry. They always look good to me with this process.
  14. I've cleaned my applicators and tried using VRT again. It's just not meeting my expectations. I have 2 bottles if anyone is interested!
  15. I've owned several black cars and feel your pain! Nothing looks better than a black car fully corrected and shining. Keeping it that way, as you know, is another story. I now have a white car and although its better at hiding imperfections you will see things like darker dirt and road spray you didn't see on a black car. I guess white is the lesser of two evils!
  16. As I contemplate returning the 2 bottles of VRT I have, I see on the shop page in the description that VRT is water resistant and waterproof: How do you make the industries best trim and tire dressing even better? You eliminate its only weakness by making it water repellent! This amazing new product will amaze you each time you use it. That's right!! We've taken our extremely popular Vinyl, Rubber, and Tire dressing and eliminated the only complaint any of our customers ever had about it. Now instead of Adam's VRT Tire Trim Dressing washing away with the rain or coming off each time you clean your car the NEW Adam's Super VRT Tire & Trim Dressing actually BEADS AND REPELS WATER!! Advances in polymer technology allowed us to keep the same amazing water based, low gloss, formula and make it water proof. The special additive allows the product to stand up to multiple washings, hundreds of miles of rain driving, and it even reduces surface tensions so much that water will literally roll right off of your trim and tires. The bottle says it's "Water Resistant but not waterproof" I have to admit this product has become one of the most frustrating and confusing things I have purchased in a while.
  17. At the same time Adam admits that Detail Spay will build up and could eventually streak.
  18. I use a DA to apply wax just for the purpose of applying a light, even coat. Helps a lot during hand removal!
  19. I have been using G&G for the last 6 months and have nothing but praise for it. Yes, it sprays out clumpy but you are buffing it in in a wet towel anyway. I have had some streaking on occasion and hitting it with detail spray takes care of that. I am used to the results now and have sold several people on it. I remember my first time: how easy it was to apply, the feel of the slippery paint, the beading after application...........
  20. Properties of RainX and the scent of Detail Spray. I would be in!
  21. It was rained on about a day later and yes, she sits outside over night. I may have put too much on. I will be washing it again in the next day or so and will try VRT again but this time knock it down with a towel about 30 minutes after applying. Seems like a fair amount of work when other dressings are available that are water proof and do not need to be knocked down after application. Always being fearful of the product running onto the paint with the introduction of moisture does not give me a warm a fuzzy either!
  22. Washed my wife's car a few days ago and dressed all exterior trim with VRT. It rained a good 24-30 hours later and now there is a film under all of the treated trim. I wiped it in pretty well when applying and did not put it on too thick. Should have had plenty of dry time and I'm quite disappointed on how it has come off the trim and bled onto the paint. Before I contact Adams I want to make sure I am not missing a step. Any tips would be appreciated! Thanks all...
