  1. From my previous ownership of a Subaru, I feel the paint is extremely soft. I used to always say "my "rally" car was painted with water colors"..... Man do I miss my 04 STI!!
  2. You could do it that way, I would just add two extra application blocks, another bottle or two of coating prep. Also remember to throw out the towels you use to buff off the coating. Follow the steps for each of them. And remember prep is key to getting great results.
  3. Looks great....that's quite the change in color from full fun in the front bumper to indirect sun light on the sides
  4. Shhhhhh, don't tell anyone. We have horrible tint laws.
  5. Haha,. Yes it is the color Blue Jeans. Great color with awesome depth.
  6. Vehicle 2 of 2 done Wash & Wax followed by blueberry detail spray.
  7. Vehicle 1 of 2 clean Washed using Adam's Wash & Wax. Blueberry detail spray smells so good and works great
  8. Cleaned and vacuumed both cars. Used the new TID.
  9. Haha, don't mind me being unattentive to the details.
  10. I'm not seeing what you have to offer. I'm guessing a picture was supposed to be attached
  11. Most factory leather is coated now a days. ************(off brand works fine). Diluted in distilled water will offer gentle cleaning with plenty of power for most seats. It can be agitated as well and provides some foaming action . Quite a few manufacturers have gone to recommending this as the cleaning method.
  12. Clay shouldn't ever scratch. Light marring may show up on softer paint from any clay. Clay mitt is more aggressive than the visco clay so it will be more likely. I believe Dustin polished as well, so any marring wouldn't have been an issue.
  13. Too bad, that's not how stealing works. He was just being a blow hard. I would have dumped those buckets at his feet....I mean on his feet.
  14. The tree missed that trailer and snowmobile both times it had fallen due to wind much to my buddies dismay... The snowmobile needs quite a bit of work. He just hasn't had the equipment to take the tree down but now that the top half came down he can drop the rest of it.
  15. Don't want to leave you disappointed. https://youtu.be/X9J0jpVqbEk
  16. About two weeks ago my buddy texts me and says "hey, I cleaned my wheels and they look like this now" Told him they need polishing and oxidized from the cleaner he used, which he said he threw out once they wheels did that. After asking some questions to Joe (ocdrifter) throughout this process. I am happy with the results and my friend was beyond happy. Car was put up on the lift and wheels removed. Before All wheels had the milky oxidation, a two worse than others. Wheels had never been polished to my friends knowledge. Process used: Cleaned with aluminium wheel cleaner Tire and rubber cleaner for tires Prowax all metal polish on the Power cone Followed by Adam's metal polish #1 & 2 by hand Adam's LPS on the inner drums Ceramic coating(non Adam's) on polished metal Results On the car, '96 SS w/ 99k miles Between wheels 3 & 4 we had a short interruption when some T-storms rolled through and finished off this tree damaged in the last windstorm we had in March. Full loss of power happened 20 minutes after the tree fell when it rained and the transformer popped. Overall: I am pleased with the results. My friend didn't want perfection and I certainly needed a lot more time, and possibly different products to provide that. But with that being, they look 1000x better than before. He said this was the first time you could actually see yourself in them since he bought them.
  17. By applying vrt before polishing, any polishing residue can't stick to trim pieces and leave the white marks. It is an alternative to taping off. It would just wipe off.
  18. I pm'ed about a week ago and haven't received any reply.
  19. Surprised no one has mentioned it but you can also decontaminate with a microfiber cutting pad. I feel for the level of contamination you are talking about this would be more effective. Process would involve an air compressor to clean the pads often. If you don't have one I would use multiple pads. You will be polishing if you clay bar anyway.
  20. My GF to a T...except that I usually wash it before she can ask.
  21. Paint sealant should be the base layer. I would then top it with a wax like Americana. The next wash is when I would do a wet application of the H20GG
