  1. Probably a simple oversight. Call customer service and I'm sure they will take care of you.

    Bees

Don't think I've ever seen a sign like that. But you all have some crazy creatures Down Under...are these bees of unusual size?!
  3. Another dry method: Start with dry, clean car Wet one MF towel, ring it out (grey borderless is my preference) Spray several sprays of HGG into the wet towel, then apply to the car Dry any residue with separate dry MF towel Word of caution: the dry method will use more product than the wet method because you're losing some in the towel. Nothing wrong with experimenting, and I've only coated trim, but Cermaic Boost is made for exactly what you're trying to do. And it's made for dry application. Just my 2 cents.
  4. Matt is right. The "new" (rounded) versions were leaking some products so they rolled back to the old (squared) version. Personally, I agree with their decision. I have some extra rounded versiions. PM me if interested.

  6. Wait a minute! You've had the same windshield for 17 years?! Here in CO, I'm lucky to go year or two without replacing a windshield. For some reason the road crew likes to use rocks during the winter. Saves on salt issues, but man it tears up the front ends and windshields. Anyway, I'd think insurance could/would replace it for you if the defects are causing visibility (read: safety) issues. May want to call them and ask.
  7. Paint Coating: up to a year or more (according to the Adam's website) Trim Coating: minimum of one year Wheel Coating: 1-2 years
  8. Sorry, Hayden, but it's against forum rules to sell any Adam's chemicals. Trades are allowed, but you'll need to reach 50 posts to use the Garage Sale forum. Recommend if you want to buy anything, head over tot the Adam's site and spend away!
  9. Ok, thanks. I would hope the clay already removed any contaminants and polish shouldn't leave any, but I guess to each his/her own. Like I said, though, the Prep certainly smells better!
  10. +4 (but iso/water is much more cost effective, if that matters) James, question - what's "unsafe" about iso/water? I've used it multiple times without any adverse effects, at least none that I can notice. But I will certainly give you it doesn't smell near as awesome!
  11. The goal of this thread is to consolidate answers to the inevitable question: "How long does 'product X' last?" Given that caveats galore definitely exist, including driving conditions, how the vehicle is stored, etc., please feel free to post those, too. The more products listed here, the better...let's try to get them all! ************ I'll start with what I have learned/experienced. Paint Sealant: at least 6 months Glass Sealant: 200 miles of rain driving, using wipers; one full tank of windshield washer fluid HGG: 1-2 months Patriot Wax: 1-3 months; garage queens will see on higher end+, while dailies will likely see on the lower end; any extreme conditions can/will change wax longevity Brilliant Glaze: 1-2 weeks (in good weather) Some products I'd like to know: Buttery Wax? Trim Coating?
  12. Nice job, Kory! I'm sure she was thrilled. Dancing grandma!
  13. And where do you think your kid will fall now?! Don't tempt Murphy's Law!
  14. Welcome to the addiction, Herman! You're already showing symptoms, but we are all here to help. MBs are a perfect way to start, so don't be shy to ask questions about what you get. And being new, don't be surprised to hit the MB Swirl Killer lotto...seems to happen "often" for the newbies.
  15. Welcome to the addiction! Dayton...AF?
  16. Welcome, Chris! Two real life, full sized vehicles...in NYC?! Didn't think they existed. Be sure to get some BG and Patriot/ Americana to make that black pop!
  17. I was really wondering what a "L"owan was... Then I looked at your locations. "I"owan. Oops. Font issues.
  18. LOVE this thread! Keep up the posts, Dan!
  19. This. Always ask the body shop. I recently had some bodywork done, and because the shop baked the paint/car, it was ready for polish right away. Cheaper paint jobs, not so much...months, even.
  20. Since they sell the regular bottles, I assume they will sell one for the SW, too. Just give them a call and I'm pretty sure they'll hook you up.
  21. I hope this gets sorted out for you, Alex. Once it does, recommend an entry in the "Don't Do's" thread so others can learn from your experience. And maybe Rich can have a little peace, too!
