  1. Sounds Good..I'll give it a go.. good thing is the one drop is about the size of hole punch so wont take much product or scrubbing..I hope...
  2. On the weekend, a lovely tree decided to put one drop of sap on my fabric soft top on the Camaro. i have my roof protected with another companies product/sealant for convertibles and the question I have is what other peeps here do to clean off the sap residue. Don't want to force the sap deeper into the fibers of the fabric, yet would like to try to lift it out somehow. What have others done to try to remove sap from fabric soft tops? Thanks in advance for any guidance.
  3. One quick question on this Dan.. while shipping from the US with the flat rate is cool, whenever I have placed orders from the US site, I get killed with Duty and Brokerage fee's, usually an additional $60+ afterwards payable to FedEx. While I know this is beyond your control, it's also the reason I look for a dealer here in Canada to avoid the additional costs. Do you know if you will be shipping to Dexter then forwarded to the end user to avoid the end user paying the additional fees? If you don't know that's cool, the other CDN dealer I have used has been very good so far, just miss getting stickers and mints.
  4. You may want to use the Odor Neutralizer as well, I used on a friends car that she smokes in and took out a lot of the dirty ashtray smell.
  5. I used showandshine.ca was very happy with that transaction.. only down side was they put a sticker on the bottles with their website address on it.....not that it's a bad thing, I just like my bottles to all look the same.. will defiantly look at their site first when shopping.
  6. UGH.. hate to say it, but during this downtime of the CA site, I had to place an order with a different distributor and was pleasantly surprised that some of their prices were cheaper, cheaper shipping and they sent me a free double soft towel in my order. Guess I'll have to do some comparison shopping going forward from now on. Dexter has always served me well, but not sure about trusting a vendor that has had a compromised site.
  7. I agree, I miss the info that was provided in these videos, always good to get new tips, tricks and pointers.
  8. Not to throw a curve ball out there, but have you tried to use a proxy anonymizer site to redirect and avoid the country DNS redirect? http://crownproxy.com/browse.php?u=x%2BnvVJ4U775ZhSCaaGDtxcZVQRI%3D&b=29&f=norefer The link above goes to Adams US site, or just use the following to go to the root of the proxy site: http://crownproxy.com If you Google "crown proxy" you will see some additional info on the site as well without going to it. Something like that will use an anonymous proxy in the USA to go to another site.. note.. DO NOT click on any other links from these sites as they tend to be "shady" at times. (I work for a very large anti-virus company that also sells internet gateway proxies and security devices) While this site has a threat risk score of 7/10, it does not have any known malware on it based of our research engineering team. I would not use this site on a work computer if you company does URL filtering as it may set off some alarms with HR that you are trying to use a proxy avoidance site.... I did email Dexter the other day about the warnings coming off the Canadian site as well and he informed me that his IT group was working on it too.
  9. Nothing beats a nice freshly polished black vehicle... until the next day .... I go over my black beast with Waterless Wash to get the garage dust off it...works great. Keep up the good work.
  10. Sonos are like rabbits... they keep multiplying in my house... but the sound is amazing! Oh.. and after I detailed the inside of my wife's Avalanche with Adam's products, I got the thumbs up to buy more of their products....
  11. I've heard great things about the 303 in the marine industry, glad to hear its still beading after 6 months. I tried a competitors top cleaner and sealer.. If it doesn't do what they claim, I may try the 303 next.
  12. So far the cleaner I used worked really well... brought the rich black back from the dust build up and looks like it really cleaned the fabric. The sealant I'm not sure about yet, no rain since I did it so time will tell. Now if Adams brought out a cleaner and sealant I would be all over trying it out and giving it a review. As far as keeping it looking nice, cockpit brush and lint roller works wonders!

    MICE!

I had a mouse problem in my garage and after fixing the opening where the could get in, I put Bounce sheets in the car, engine bay and cabinets. I followed that up with Victor Ultrasonic Mouse repellents and only had one mouse in my snap traps from Dec to today. http://www.victorpest.com/advice/all-about/victor-repellents/types-of-repellents Not sure if fixing the issue was the cure or adding in the ultrasonic repellents was the bigger cure, but they are gone and that's the key.
  14. Totally agree on black cars... this one will be dirty tomorrow morning after spending the night in the garage.... dust happens...lol
  15. Got a solid day in doing a full paint correction on my Camaro... PO must not of known how to wash black cars... lots of moderate swirls in the whole car. Used all Adam's products but one.. Adam's doesn't make a soft top sealant, so had to use a competitors product. Strip washed, clay bar, Correction Polish, Finishing Polish, LPS, Glaze followed by Buttery Wax. Took me around 8hrs but time well spent.
  16. Thanks... I'll give it a bit of blue Dawn in the wash and then claybar.
  17. Silly question..maybe... If you have a car that is showing little to no signs of any protection on it, no water beading when washed or rained on, and you are going to clay bar it and do a full correction, do you really need to strip wash it? Was debating on doing the strip wash or just a regular was since the car will be clay bar'd right after anyway... or is it a true necessity to do the strip regardless? My daily driver sits outside and was neglected all winter from wax or protection and just wasn't sure if the strip was really needed since I don't have any strip wash left and would have to do an Adam's regular soap with Dawn as a strip. Greg
  18. Thanks.. will start with a test spot using the Finishing Polish with a white pad then move on...
  19. Hi Everyone, My neighbor just bought a '75 yellow Corvette that was repainted a few years back and wants to polish it up. It's in good shape, light to medium swirls in it, so I'm not sure what to recommend to him... Does he start with the Correction Polish then move to the Finishing polish? How can I tell if this car has clear on it or not, or does it even matter? I've only worked on newer cars so this one is virgin ground for me.
  20. I have a problem with fog on the inside, cause is dampness inside from wet dog syndrome....I've been able to reduce the fog by putting two knee-high stockings with scentless kitty litter in it, one under the driver seat and one under the dog mat in the back of the car. This hasn't solved it, but lessened the fog. If only the dog would not get wet in the snow and rain...
  21. I just finished watching the video for using the Brilliant Glaze to remove haze from the inside of your windshield. Great idea and tip for 2 of my 3 vehicles, the question I have is for my Camaro with the Heads Up Display (HUD). I know the windshield for HUD cars is different in some way from regular Camaro's and I'm wondering if the glaze will cause any issues with the display? Has anyone tried this yet or should we wait for someone from the Adam's team to give an opinion. Thanks Greg
  22. Do you know if the Toyota Blizzard Pearl is the same? AKA, is this a single stage paint as well? I'm trying to look at some Toyota forums to get a feel for this before I go and try to polish it up.
  23. I would be in for that... I'll bring a cooler full of Gatorade and Beer! Would love to be able to "look over the shoulder" of someone that knows what they are doing before attacking my cars here with my DA. Was thinking of using my sisters car as a test car before hitting my Camaro... she wouldn't know a good vs. bad job..hehe... I'm in the Toronto Ontario area...
  24. An interior one and soft top one too.... sucks that I had to buy a product from somewhere else for that... I like my Adams!
  25. Would love to have the daily driver in the garage.. but the wife wont park her truck outside and the other baby is wrapped up in its blanket taking up space... should have built a bigger garage....what was I thinking...lol.
