Washing tips if you don't live in a shady area?

Hooked and reeling in his wallet as we speak. -
Finally have a garage! Need new lighting
tmccoy2236 replied to Ekim716's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
Best quote of the month. Possibly the year. When your family starts staring at you because you are laughing so hard while reading a forum post... you know that's funny stuff. LMAO -
Man, it is a good thing that Nathan can hold his own on this forum because the hazing he receives because of is age is relentless. LOL. Don't worry Nathan, while everyone loves to kid with you it's just a sign of respect for someone so young but with so much drive and determination to do what they enjoy. As for the interior detailer.... not a fan of the baby powder smell. While it works well, there is just something wrong with a F150 smelling like baby powder when both of your kids are teenagers.

Finally have a garage! Need new lighting
tmccoy2236 replied to Ekim716's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
There may be better options specifically to detailing (will let more experienced chime in on that), but these lights are great and have been very effective in my garage for lighting. https://www.costco.com/Feit-Electric-4%e2%80%99-Linkable-LED-Shop-Light-with-Pull-Chain%2c-2-pack.product.100284402.html -

The "Don't Do's of Detailing" Thread
tmccoy2236 replied to falcaineer's topic in Detailing Write-Ups
Close the lids, close the lids, CLOSE THE DAMN LIDS !!!! Adam even mentions this on a ton of his videos... my suggestion.. heed the advise and don't think you will 'just be careful'. Not only will you waste product... the neighbors just don't want to hear that type of language.- 151 replies

How do you store/carry your tools and supplies?
tmccoy2236 replied to vollychief's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
Without knowing whether this is a regular need for you or not, but I recently had to take all my supplies to my brothers house. We had a detailing party but that is a conversation for another day. With that said, I used totes similar to what you pictured for all my tools, towels, applicators, etc. As for the chemicals (16 oz. and 32 oz) I just purchased a couple of extra white buckets from Home Depots Paint Department and carried all chemicals in them. They fit great, were easy to carry and I did not have to worry about spilling. This reserved my wash buckets as such so I kept the bottles in the 'storage' buckets the whole time While this may not be a great approach for something you do on a regular basis, it was perfect for the few times I needed to transport my stuff. Just a thought. -

Rinseless dilution help.

I do this more than I care to admit. -
Nice choice. Definitely feel you will be pleased with this setup

5 gallon all the way. I have one 3.5 gallon (non Adams) and never use it. I cannot think of a single advantage with the smaller size

Throwback Red Shampoo
tmccoy2236 replied to jp2015's question in Washing, Drying, and Decontamination
That's odd, it is still showing available for me (10:07 EST) in both the 16oz and 1 gallon sizes. Did it prevent you from checking out or was it listed as 'out of stock' and preventing you from adding it to your cart. -
Was able to hang my sign this past weekend. Had to rearrange a few things (as you can see... I have several signs. ) I'm very pleased with how it looks on the wall and thanks again to Dan for the great promotion for the forum members.

Thanks for the update. I just received another great white towel in my last mystery box. I will put that aside for the dog to replace the off brand ones I've been using. Adam's is finding its way throughout my whole house.

I've always liked this view (slightly different than above). While photography is not really my thing, I've always found that the background can really make or break any image in terms of making it 'pop'. So, while you may find the perfect position for the vehicles, don't overlook the background.

Waterless Wash
tmccoy2236 replied to mathews31's topic in Product Polls, Feedback, and Company Input
I say this all the time as well now that I've found Adam's products. Not sure I've ever enjoyed cleaning my vehicles as much as I do now. -
Future Adam's Best Seller
tmccoy2236 replied to zw470's topic in Product Polls, Feedback, and Company Input
This works on some SS, but if you have a coating on the appliance which is intended to be "finger print proof", the slight abrasive in liquid bar keepers scratches the finish. Friend of mine found that out the hard way. Not sure if this applies to all SS coatings but it did on his. -

Seth - let us know how this turns out in the end. My WT mats are only 4 months old so keeping them clean has not been a problem yet, but I'm sure that will change with time. I've debated getting the WT cleaner and protectant as well, but did not know whether it was going to be any different that what I'm currently using.
