dg150 got a reaction from Rich in Patriot Wax
One of my vehicles is coated and I was planning on doing my truck soon. I don't have very good luck with wax on my truck. The tires stick out past the fenders so every time it rains or snows I'm throwing stuff down the side of my truck. Most waxes and sealants last only a couple rains/ snows for me.

Sounds good. Thanks for the advice. I do like how well the soap at the carwash takes everything off the paint without having to touch it but obviously if it's strong enough to take all the dirt and bugs off it will also take the sealant off.

I used your method with one difference. I sprayed and wiped down the whole truck. I didn't remove any of the g&g while I was doing this. Once it was applied to the whole truck I went around it with my sidekick, just got it yesterday so I had to try it out. I blew all the water out of the mirrors and everywhere else my truck holds water. Then I took a new wet microfiber and sprayed it a couple times with g&g and went over one panel at a time and dried it with a double soft. No streaks and looks great.

Haha. I'd been wanting one for a while. Finally just gave in and bought one during a sell. Worked great. Way faster than chasing drips for hours.

Man that cleans up nice. I can't bring myself to get my RZR that clean, I wouldn't want to get it dirty again. I usually take my to the pay and spray to clean it on my way home if i'm not gonna drive it for a while.

I'll try to get some pictures when it stops raining and I get time to wash it. I basically just wanted to document it with the dealer in case I have issues in the future. I'd prefer not to break the factory clear coat for now.

Well I'll make sure to take a closer look, sure is a great looking truck! Do you have the 2.7 or 3.5 Ecoboost?
