Welcome to the group.

Hi Jordan, it sounds like you might just need to go over the car with a clay bar. You can use Waterless Wash, Detail Spray or even soapy wash water as your lubricant.

One of the other forum members, @Hookem06 recently ordered some Matte Protectant directly from Adams. You won't find it on the website, but if you call to place your oder, they may still have some available. It's definitely worth giving them a call.

Welcome to the group, Nick.

Hi Nick, @falcaineer has you covered. The staining appears to be WC residue run-off from the barrel. Switch your order to use the WC first and then follow up with TRC.

I would stay away from using the original WC on those if they are raw Aluminum. I believe the new ECO WC was developed for use in this situation.
You'll be glad you got the Cone and Power Ball. I had a set of Alcoa wheels on a '96 F350 and the Power Ball was the ticket to keeping them like new.

I believe Shane@DetailedReflections recommended the McCullough MC1275 on another post. You can grab one on Amazon for around $135.00.

Clean with the Metal Polish, as before, and then hit them with steam to remove the residue from the etching. If you don't have a steamer, try using the lug nut brush while the residue is still wet. You'll want to clean the bristles each time before returning the brush to the tank, though, so you don't re-introduce any residue to parts you've already cleaned.

I finally got to use some products I have ordered or received in MB’s recently and thought I would give some feedback.
New Detail Seat - My only complaint is that the trays on either side are not exact fits for Adam’s 16 oz. bottles. One bottle holder is too big for a 16 oz, the other is too small. When you put a 16 oz bottle in the big one, they tend to fall over/out when rolling. Just a little disappointed that the bottle holders aren’t made exactly for the products you are going to be using with the seat. I would give this an 8/10.
Pick up some adhesive backed Velcro strips and line the inside of the large bottle holder (loop side). That should tighten it up enough for a snug fit on the standard 16oz bottles.
Using the loop side won't scratch the labels..........for those of us with OCD.

Let's back up a little bit and steer you away from using VRT inside your vehicle.
Leather Conditioner is the best option for your dash since it has SPF 65 and smells fantastic.........especially when compared to VRT with a hint of WC.

Before you strip with APC or clay, etc, try some Brilliant Glaze on the streaks. It works wonders on other products to remove residue and level things out, so it just may save the day.

I thought the pic you are referring to was the trim restorer not the trim ceramic coating.. Since the Coating (Ceramic) is only what.. 4h, would that hold up to the heat under a hood? Wheel coating is designed for high heat so not sure...
You are correct. My bad on the pic reference, but I see no reason why the Ceramic Trim Coating couldn't be applied under the hood.
-
Absolutely. As a matter of fact, the original promo pics for the Trim Coating show it being applied to an engine cover, so go right ahead.

Depending on the vehicle and the brake set-up, you may want to pick up the Turbo Stick or Turbo Stick Mini to get into the hard-to-reach areas of the barrel. (Drill not included )

In general, the kits are usually the way to go due to the cost savings. The Ultimate Kit is a fantastic deal that offers a substantial savings over buying everything a-la-carte. Even if you already have some of the consumable products in the kit, you can't go wrong with doubles, plus you could always trade them in the Garage Sale Forum once you reach 50 posts. Either way, you should wait to take advantage of one of the sales. Last week's 20% off would have been the best time, as 20% doesn't come around all that often. I would bet there will be another one real soon with Father's Day fast approaching.
