I would also recommend a 12 AWG. It will power anything you can hook up to a standard outlet ...up to 20A capacity. You will never have to put a "bigger" one so investment for the future like high amp blowers or string trimmers running long distances.

Foam gun and powerwasher
Bunky replied to Easyrider's question in Washing, Drying, and Decontamination
Given I can foam a vehicle twice with just 1.5 ounces soap, I often rinse, foam, rinse, foam, then start the wash. There is no strict rule and one can decide for themselves what works best for their wash method. With a typical electric pressure washer, you are also using less water since using the water more efficiently than say the fire hose nozzle. Given the above, I know a few who like to foam then rise prior to even doing a rinseless for added safety. There are no strict rules. -
Foam gun and powerwasher
Bunky replied to Easyrider's question in Washing, Drying, and Decontamination
A pressure washer is quite safe when properly used. Gas units with higher psi have more potential for damage but you always use the fan spray (not the stream). Some use a foam gun as a presoak. There is a limit to what a ph balanced soap will do but it can help soften bonded grime. Rinse, pre-soak, rinse, regular wash. Another way is rinse, apply foam, then start the regular wash. -

The Flex is still made in Germany. There was no reduction in wages, etc. The parent company is a Chinese company. Reports from the US Flex reps is that they have invested money in Germany to improve and expand product line. -
Congrats to Dylan ! I wish him all the best. There is nothing to be negative about this but just a good American success story.

The Flex 3401 is still supposed to be made in Germany but there were some cheaper DA's that were going to be released with the Flex brand. -

1,000,000 Jobs Back in America? Starts with.....
Bunky replied to Adam's topic in Company Info/Announcements
Sadly, this is very true the number of people who shop on price (and more born everyday) and no corporate reward for using American workers unless they can find US labor that is cheaper in another country. CEO's are paid on profits and doing better every year so they are always chasing cost and there is limit with just using American labor and products. -

I opted for utility versus sport. I actually thought about getting a classic car but this has been more fun. It can be a like a boat in that you can accessorize it a lot. And you can still detail it!

American Made Power Washer?
Bunky replied to liquidred's question in Washing, Drying, and Decontamination
The key aspects are: - pressure dislodges the dirt - GPM washes it away For automotive cleaning, a common electric (1400 to 1800 psi) should do the job and very safe on paint in fan spray mode so GPM is actual more useful in car work. You should need to worry removing weak trim, etc. Of course, for serious cleaning (like concrete, etc) higher pressures are needed so if you want it to do other way you can get a more powerful and just not get as close. I have a 1400 psi / 2 GPM and it works fine even with a foam cannon. I also have a gas 2700 psi and can do damage to paint if not paying attention. -
Adams Wash Nozzle- What a great product!!

The nozzle is excellent and works well at lower flow rates and pressures than others. -

It will likely be the opposite. I still recall when comments were made about Japanese and Korean cars in both design and manufacturing. They have a rover on the moon now.

It is very powerful. I actually blow up the emblem from my Dakota. It took a little silicone to reattach it. -

I had purchased some clay that had a Made in Japan label.

It does not say anything about moving the manufacturing to China. One report says: The seal of quality “Made in Germany” shall also convince customers who would normally refuse to buy products “Made in China”. With the brand Flex it will be much easier to gain a foothold in the market.

My washes with Adam's Rinseless Wash
Bunky replied to mc2hill's question in Washing, Drying, and Decontamination
I look forward to using the Adam's rinseless product. Your rinseless process is similar to mine. I use multiple microfiber mitts (pile type not the chenile) and break down the wash areas similarly as well except I do the lower sides of doors with a separate mitt (upper half of doors with one mitt, lower half with another mitt) but end up using around 6 to 8 mitts. I do use the spent rinseless on wheels but have a rinseless tire cleaner if necessary. -

which size pressure washer best for cars?
Bunky replied to alenv10's question in Washing, Drying, and Decontamination
I got a Kranzle because the $300 to $400 did not seem to last and could not take much abuse as staying in bypass mode,
