  1. Hi Tom, Welcome to the forum from your southern neighbor.
  2. I have used BG a couple of times for high spots. I usually go real light on the BG and sometimes it takes two or three times to going over it to fix the high spot and I use a borderless gray towel. So far I have not had any results where you could see the difference in shine once complete.
  3. I absolutely concur with Chris on this one. He recommended getting one for my wife's vehicle and without a doubt it is the best drying towel that I've ever used.

    Welcome to the Forum.
  5. Hi Tim, Since you are using Waterless Wash, there is no need for the Detail Spray. However, if you have any Brilliant Glaze, then I would apply that since it will add some some, plus hide some minor imperfections. Then you can apply the Buttery Wax over that. You can also use Brilliant Glaze as a topper if you are taking the vehicle for a day, but it only sales a day or two as a topper.
  6. I'm 60 years old and if I need to do an entire hood, it is by machine. For a small area, hand polishing is usually more than enough, but it does come down to the individual doing the work and the volume of work. If it is possible for you to find an area with shade or get a canopy to the put the vehicle under it will help with the drying time. Staying out of the direct sun can make a big difference with keeping the panels cooler and providing you more working time. Brilliant Glaze of one of the most versatile products in the Adam's lineup. It has some cleaning properties that will fix some imperfections in coatings. It is also one the best products I've ever found for cleaning the inside of a windshield and mirrors.
  7. From your description it sounds like you have put it on too thick, which would require polishing it and yes you would want a machine to do it. If you can post a picture of the hood, it will provide us a better of idea of what you are facing to come with the best way to deal with it.
  8. The concern is if the water is from a city system which will contain chemicals, then you have the chance of getting etching around the beads. If it was from an area that has a well there is less of a concern, but there is still a risk of getting water spots.
  9. Welcome to the Forum Chris. My bike that I recently sold was a 2002 and I ended up putting a coating on it. Here's the link to my writeup and I have done a few other bikes. Look around and ask any questions that you have and don't forget to post a picture of the toys.
  10. CS3's cleaning properties and wet look after use is my preference. I have found that when it is hot and I have to be in direct sun, Detail Spray is easier to work with.
  11. It is summer of 2022 and I finally have the plywood on the walls and it is starting to look like a garage inside. The summer has been a challenge between the heat, the loss of my mother and my wife's father, so the structural work has been going real slow. We're finally at the point to start focusing on the ceiling which will follow the pitch up to the center section which will be installed as a flat section. Once the ceiling is in, I'll be able to mount all my lights permanently along with the putting in the ceiling fans. From there I'll finish the walls and install the cabinets and workbench. The first 8 feet of the walls, the yellow pine plywood, will most likely just be painted. I'm still undecided on what I want to do with the upper section of the walls, the Plytanium. There won't be anything installed on the upper part beyond a speaker and a few lights, so it is more about what will look good and be easily maintained given how high it is. If I can find the right Mustang and Bowtie lights, that would make it easier to figure out what to do with the ends. Yes, I know the the lawn mower is dirty. It will get a proper wash, polish and Graphene coating this winter. Fall is getting closer and the temps will come down and make it possible to work outside for more than a few hours in the morning.
  12. Detail spay will work, but I prefer Ceramic Water Wash for for bug removal on ceramic vehicles. I just give a squirt, let it dwell for a few seconds and then they tend to wipe off rather easily.
