  1. HGG as a drying aid works good regardless of the humidity, just remember that a little goes a long way. Also, you don’t want to use it weekly as it will build up. I suggest not more than every 4-6 weeks according to how often you wash it.
  2. Hi Matt, welcome to the forum. You are a glutton for punishment, but I also recognize that a Black will look almost as good as a Red one when polished out. If you are planning a trip to Myrtle Beach or central SC, you will be going near my house, I just off I-20 outside of Columbia. Given that Georgia has the same weather pattern as SC, you will need to adjust for the heat and humidity. Of course, the flip side is that we can wash outside all 12 months of the year. I have found that after I wash, I put the vehicle in the garage immediately to get out of the sun to start the drying process. On each side of the garage bay, I have a fan that blows from the back toward the open door. The fans don’t blow on the vehicle, just along side to keep the air moving and me cool. I have the Stanley fans so I can change the volume, angle and they have power outlets, it was a really good investment. https://www.amazon.com/Stanley-655704-Velocity-Blower-Yellow/dp/B006O6FA22/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=Stanley+fan&qid=1562459214&s=gateway&sr=8-2 I use a variety of Adams products according to what the vehicle is and the results that I’m looking for. For the top tier vehicles, Mustang, Colorado and Terrain, they all get Ceramic Paste Wax and the Terrain, which we just got a couple weeks ago, will be getting a professional ceramic coating. Everything else gets anything from LPS to HGG and various combinations in between. When it gets much above 90 and the humidity is hovering at 60 or so, Ceramic Boost and HGG can both be challenging, at 90+ and humidity at 75 or more even Brilliant Glaze takes a bit to cure as does American, Patriots and Ceramic Paste Wax. Just don’t try to do too many panels at once, even if the cure time time gets to be a bit long, all it takes is a sudden drop in Humidity and then you are trouble. I have used the products enough in the heat and humidity that I can judge it pretty good now, it I never do more than two panels at a time. The humidity does not seem to affect Waterless Wash at all or the regular Spray Wax, so I tend to do vehicles that need a touch up on the rainy weekends.
  3. Welcome to the forum. Now we just need the Before and then the After pictures.
  4. The best method I have found is to ensure the wife’s vehicle gets the best possible treatment then she doesn’t mind spending a few dollars. @falcaineer is correct about the towels for drying and while they all work very good, the Ultra Plush is exceptional and the only towel used on the Wife’s vehicle. The only question I have is who drives the Colorado and who has the Silverado? The paint on the Colorado is a bit soft, which has good and bad points. The good point is that you can get many of the swirl marks out with Revive hand polish and a blue or orange pad. The bad is that the paint is a bit soft and it is easy to cause swirl marks if you aren’t careful. On my Colorado, I always use a two bucket wash, a dedicated microfiber wash mitt and ultra plush drying towel. Once you get the truck ready for the first treatment, it is hard to beat the Ceramic Paste Wax, it if you already have other products such as the HGG, they are very good also. Just be sure to stick with one product line, and don’t mix Ceramic with non-Ceramic products.
  5. I cleaned the windshield and came up with a plan of attack to clean up the brother-in-laws bug riddled ride. This will be a Friday project before they depart to head back to Wisconsin.

  7. I will recommend before you ceramic story coat it, go over it with Adam’s Leather Conditioner. This will provide a nice deep dark black color on the cover. Once you use the LC, by following directions on the bottle, let it sit for a couple of hours and make sure it is even and if need by wipe it down if a clean microfiber towel. Once you are satisfied that it is even, hit it with the Ceramic Spray Coating. I cannot recommend VRT if you are going to use the Ceramic Spray Coating as I believe the Leather Condition does a better job under ceramic.
  8. You can use BG on most stripes. I do not care for the look on Matt Black stripes, but on shiny stripes it looks good. As Chris stated, be careful with the edges.
  9. I completed my mission a couple of hours ago with a Waterless Wash and Brilliant Glaze of the Terrain. The BG sure does make a clean vehicle Ceramic Paste Wax pop. I'm beginning to think the wife is happy with her new ride, she's put almost 500 miles on it and we taking it on a short trip today, hence the need to make it pop.
  10. @shooterjgs yours popped up just as I going to click submit on Raised Eyebrow. Questions galore
  11. Welcome to the Forum Hannah and don't forget to post a picture of your Mustang.
  12. Hi Mike, I use a Foam Gun and I see a small difference with a Ultra Foam compared to the regular Shampoo when using it. I also use slightly less Ultra Foam and can't really see a difference in the cost per wash. The one thing that keeps me using the Ultra is that I prefer the smell, so I buy a gallon when it is on sale and it lasts about year or so doing on average of 2 vehicles per weekend. This also assumes that you do a Mystery box or two a year for which I also receive one or the other of the shampoo's most of the time.
  13. For the interior Chrome like areas you can use Ceramic Boost. It not only looks good, but helps prevent finger prints. I use a towel in the same manner that I do the wheels, a rather light spray on the towel and then wipe the surface. I always do my door panels and dash with Leather Conditioner and I do that before I use the Ceramic Boost on the Chrome since I'm not sure what CB would do to door panels and such. As for the Infotainment center, I use Glass Cleaner followed by Interior Detailer.

I have a 12 x 12 and we use it on a regular basis. They are a bit of a pain to put up and take down or move by yourself, so get 4 small wheels to attach to the bottom, just make sure that two wheels are lockable if not all 4. Having 4 wheels that don't lock makes it very interesting to get positioned the way you want it, not to mention staying where you want it. You can purchase them with the wheels already on them from places like https://www.extremecanopy.com/wheeled-canopies/ or get the wheels from your neighborhood Ace or HarborFreight.
  16. If your vehicles have ApplePlay or AndroidAuto and a modern vehicle, you should be able to display the any of the maps programs on the Infotainment screen. Myself, I do like the built in Nav, but the other application like Waze usually have better information, especially when there are traffic jams.
  17. Glass Boost on the outside mirrors also helps get the moisture off them.
  18. Interior pictures never do a vehicle justice. I completed the Leather Conditioner on the interior today, including the dash and got the few high spots out. As I understand it, the next item will be Lloyd's floor mats. We received the GMC all weather mats and the stock carpet mats with the Terrain, neither come across as anything special.
  19. The wife thinks hers turned out great also. Since I used the Paste Wax, it will be interesting to see how long it lasts, it last 6+ months on a car that sits outside, so who knows on the iPad.
  20. Not only do I have the Ceramic Paste Wax, I also had a old iPad to try it on. I have since done my iPad Pro and will do the wife's in a few minutes. Thank you for providing this tip.
  21. The Red pad with the Leather Condition went on just as easy with the vented seats as it does with normal seats. Thank you all for the feedback letting me know I didn't have to worry about the vented seats, I used my normal thin, smooth strokes - they look great. The first add on parts went in yesterday, the wife ordered Wisconsin Badger seat belt pads and South Carolina Gamecocks ones for the back seats. She contemplated ordering the Packer ones, but the color scheme didn't work which the same excuse she gave for not getting the Syracuse, my school or other daughters Clemson ones.
