If you aren't seeing responses to email, try checking your spam folder. I didn't think I was getting responses either and after email a couple times, I finally had a response come through that showed previous response that I hadn't seen before. I checked my spam folder and saw that they had responded to every email sent, I just wasn't seeing them. They have a ticketing system and responses are sent from some weird email address. I can't guaranteed this is what is happening for you but I felt pretty embarrassed about following up after a response was already sent. When I have called, it has taken a couple tries to get through but I have had someone answer.

Hey y'all, name is Michael, and I reside in San Antonio, Texas. I just recently started using Adams. Started with their mystery box not to long ago! Maybe it didn't quite have what I was hoping for in the box, but was still used. And man, was I amazed by it. I am fairly new to the whole detailing world as I had always used the token washes, and now I want to make my car just shine with my work!

Looking forward to see what Adams can do for me!

I don't smell green apple. It smells exactly like Blue Raspberry Lemonade Kool Aid to me. I love the smell regardless of what it is supposed to smell like. I need to try the rinseless wash. Living in a condo, I think it would be helpful to be able to wash the cars without flooding the shared driveway every time.

This one is for you Rich.  You asked me to post a picture of the bathroom when I got it done.  Here it is.  It is about 95% done.  I have a tall stand alone cabinet that I need to sand down and stain and hook up the plumbing to the sink.  That should be done tomorrow, minus the cabinet.  And put baseboards back up.  Baseboards have to be done on the whole upstairs though.  I have ripped out almost all of my flooring and did laminate.  Easier to clean and will hold up the dogs.

Hi gang. I am Rich's wife and will be with him at Corvettes.  I need a favor from the Adam's community.  I know someone posted this on the Adam's FB page too.  This little boy is dying from Leukemia and he's only 11 years old.  He's asking for stickers (racing, car related) to cover his casket.  If you can, could any of you who will be at Carlisle this weekend, look through your stash of stickers (I have plenty of Adam's stickers, looking for things like Summit, Jegs, etc) and drop them off at our car ..... Row IE space 50 , or give them to me at the Adam's party Friday night.  The whole story breaks my heart, and I'd love to send him a nice big envelope filled with stickers to brighten his day.  If you aren't going to be there, but would like to send him some yourself, the address is below.  Thanks to all of you.
    Darlene
Stickers and cards can be sent to Caleb Hammond’s family at 314 North J Street, Oskaloosa, IA 52577.

I will post pictures for sure. I had to cut a hole in the ceiling/walls because the bathroom upstairs was leaking and the drywall was soaked and molding. Good news, it doesn't look too severe, it's kind of annoying.
I am excited that it is pretty much a blank canvas. I built shelves and a work bench at an apartment we had previously. I attached everything to the walls. That is a good idea to put the legs on pavers. I'm thinking of building something a lot larger here so I will probably need support from the ground as well. There is a lot that I want to do. I will just have to see what my budget allows.

Hey guys. This weekend was first time my 83 chevy c10 had seen a wash in a year. Pulled my old engine out last august due to an internal knock and didnt get truck back on the road with new engine until last week.

Anyway, truck still needs corrected badly, so disregard the not perfect finish on the truck currently but i HAD to get some protection and shine back on the paint.

Anyway, did a VERY SOLID strip wash as i had about every engine fluid on the front half of the truck somewhere that needed cleaned off. After the atrip wash i clayed the truck and followed up with the god of all waxes - patriot wax.

Anyway, heres some pictures of the truck after i cleaned it up and a sideways video if it lets me send it.

Here are some pictures of the garage. It's pretty big. At some point, the floor was painted red. There is one light bulb in it right now. I plan on adding led ceiling lights soon. I will also build some kind of work bench and shelves. I'd like to have the floor redone. I might look into fixing the drywall and painting as well. Adding a storage and display area for my growing Adam's collection will be coming soon.

Looks like a great canvas that doesnt need a whole lot of attention. Work benches and such should be designed to function for what you use them for. I have gotten to the point that I just will not buy one at a store as there is always some point that is being sacrificed for what I want to use them for. The nice thing with this is that you can size it exactly how you like and make it fit into spots that normally things wouldnt fit into. IT can also allow for an easy way to make it taller or shorter than average based on your needs. One quick idea for work benches in garages, I like to put small paver blocks or concrete pads under the legs that way any water or anything that gets on the floor is not soaking into the legs of shelves or benches.

Here is a suggestion for the back of the Garage.  If you pick up some folding louvered doors, they will not only hid the utility area, but also help keep the temperature steady during the winter.   The louvered doors allow some ventilation, but they still restrict the flow of air to keep the temp more consistent.

Same here. Lol. This Sticker Bomb bucket was my first personal order through Adams. Used quite a bit of their products through a friend of mine who had a partial sponsorship deal when he used to build trucks but. I enjoyed what I did use though! Haha.

I figured I would go ahead and start a thread to document the transformation of my new garage. It is rough right now but I can't wait to transform it and display my growing Adam's collection. Right now, I'm working on the kitchen. Painting cabinets and new flooring. I'll try to remember to take some pictures of the garage tonight but for now, here are some dirty kitchen pictures.

Hey everyone, I tried searching and couldn't find much. I'd like to start a detailing side job for the evenings and weekends to help finance my Adam's addiction. I have a few Adam's products and I love them. They make achieving shine easy. There is nothing better than a freshly cleaned car. I was wondering if anyone had a list of services that they offer and their prices. Or if anyone has suggestions on detailing levels or anything like that. I have a 15mm SK, though I haven't used it yet. I also have a Bissel Spotclean for cleaning seats/carpets. I know there are a lot of variables but I'm just looking for general advice/suggestions.

OK so I was being totally OCD. The car is probably about 95% perfect. Those LED lights definitely show more than natural light does. Anyways, here are some pics of the final products. Sorry for the pressure washer and master blaster in the pics. I was just super excited on how great it turned out and wanted pics right away.

Bscott94 reacted to shane@detailedreflections in Choosing the right products
Lately it seems that there’s been a bunch of questions on the forums with regard to what products go with what.  It can be a confusing world of products especially as new “better” releases come about.

The first thing to consider is that just because something new comes along, it doesn’t mean the old product is obsolete. Change can come about for a million different reasons. It could be development, supply availability, changes in production...and the list goes on.

New products also don’t mean they fit in your detailing supply cabinet. We all have different needs based on our tastes, what we used and continue to use and where we want our detailing to go. There’s always a temptation to try new products (and we try a bunch), but it doesn’t always mean it’s a good fit. The point I’m trying to make is to not force a product to fit because it’s the “latest and greatest.”

The “ceramic” line of products is a great example. The ceramic boost, wax, coatings are great products. They aren’t the ideal application for every user. Much in the same way that a regular wax isn’t ideal for a ceramic user.

You can mix and match products as you go, but it may not be the best match. Think of it like mixing ingredients in the kitchen. Sure, it might go and not be bad. But it also won’t be the “wow” that makes you want to come back to it time and time again.

When evaluating which products you want to use, consider what your goals are and define them.

How long do you want the product to last?

How much maintenance do you want to do?

How much work do you want to put in for the project in the beginning?

Where is the vehicle kept?  How is it driven?  Is it a daily?  Or a garage queen?

What tools do you have or are willing to invest in?

    What’s your budget look like?

Once you know some of those answers (and possibly more), you can put together your product list.

If you like the process of waxing your car often, ceramic based products may not be up your alley. You can still achieve a great finish without ceramics. Sealant, glaze and wax provides great durability and finish while allowing you to scratch the itch of needing to wax your ride.

If you want more durability, maybe a coating is right for you. You need to be patient in its prep and application. I’ve mentioned before that great prep equals a great finish. The same is also true. If you cut corners, there’s a good chance it will show in the finish. Keep in mind though that coatings are NOT maintenance free, regardless of advertising hype.

A weekend detailer can often produce the same results as a professional detailer. There’s plenty of access to some great products out there. We use many of the same products available to everyone in our work. Sure, there’s some that are “pro only,” but those tend to be more high end coatings then routine products to use. The biggest differences between the pro and the weekend guy/girl are that pros usually have a deeper arsenal of products, an understanding of products along with their nuances and pros often have a larger selection of tools to get the job done efficiently.

The big thing is to evaluate each product, see how it fits in your scope of practice and to understand when and why to use something. More importantly, know when not to use something because it doesn’t fit in your vision. It can be difficult to resist temptation of the latest and greatest sometimes, but like they say “if it’s not broke, don’t fix it.”

When in doubt ask questions, experiment and see what works for you. Just test in small doses so you don’t create a bunch of work for yourself fixing something you have done.
        - No idea why the font carried over like that when I wrote it and copied it over. Oh well!

Yeah I am trying to transition to all Adam's. We are closing on our house in a couple weeks so I'm trying not to spend any money until then though. We will have a 2 car garage so I'm going to get it set up to be able to detail on the weekends to make a little cash and feed my Adam's addiction. I have been giving my non Adam's stuff to my dad.
