    I agree with both @SgtLip and @falcaineer

You'll need (at minimum) a true decontamination step (IronRemover+Clay) and surface/coating prep step before applying the coating. Don't be afraid to use it on your glass or trim either!

Do some looking, the MSRP on my Laramie was $60,300, after rebates and incentives I paid $44,700 + TTL for this one.  I don't know if I could spend $60k on a truck, even though it is arguably the nicest truck out currently.

Welcome to the forum Joel!   Very nice ride.  Don't be afraid of the Ceramic Spray Coating.  Watch the videos, follow the steps, and hit it.  You'll be amazed how easy it is to use as long as you prep properly.

First, we are here to help! There isn't a "silver bullet," one size fits all solution. But we can help guide you. For example, take a look at the article below for making a decision on your LSP (Last Step Product). And to answer your initial question, you do not need to polish before using HGG. Just ensure the surface is clean, which you'll be all set with using the 2-bucket method.

    Hi  Bret! Welcome!

A good way for people to start and get new products to try out is to buy a mystery box. Currently Amazon has 5 to choose from. Essentially, you buy a box and don't know what you're getting, but Adams promises to send you More Retail Product Value than you paid for.

If you're looking for specific things I recommend starting with reading the threads posted above by @falcaineer and @stalebreadjr. Getting on Adam's youtube channel and watching some of their tutorial videos.

A good started kit would be to have a good soap for cleaning (Car Shampoo), a good mitt or sponger (Microfiber Wash Mitt), some protection (H20 Guard and Gloss), and you can never have enough good microfiber towels (Towels).

    https://adamspolishes.com/products/adam-s-wash-protect-kit < That's a great starter kit.

Hey Bret, welcome & nice truck. If it were me I would go with either Ceramic Coating or Ceramic Spray, that will give you the best protection.

Well, I did it!  I ordered some items today for the first time.  Can't wait till it gets here!  Only problem is, being in Ohio kind of puts me in a bind, weather-wise, but thank God, I have a heated 48x60 pole barn!!!!

The Mustang received some much needed attention this weekend, which I'll post the details about in my Mustang thread.  However, this picture with three Red vehicles, came our rather nice, so I'm posting it here, since they all some attention this weekend.   The three colors are Mustang Red, Cajun Red and Red Quartz.    In the addition, the Dogwood is finally starting to turn colors, so that means the rest are only a month or so away from changing also.

Back in January, the Mustang was given a coat of Ceramic Paste Wax, since then it has been maintained with regular washes, got one Wash + Coat after it came out and every 6 weeks or so hit with Ceramic Boost.  The CPW held up well for a close to 10 months with regular maintenance, which is rather impressive in my book, but it was time to redo the car.   I started with a Strip Wash, followed by Iron Remover, Clay and then the Swirl Killer came out.  It cleaned up nicely, albeit that it already has a couple of stone chips and a scratch on the front bumper, plus the daughter kicking the thresholds.

The front clip (hood, facia and fenders) required Correcting Polish and an Orange Pad.  The doors and rear fenders and truck got One Stop Polish with the One Step Wool Pad.  Then the entire vehicle was gone over with Finishing Polish and a White Pad.  There were a few touch up spots and I decided not to use Revive Hand Polish this time.  Then it was on the Surface Prep followed by Ceramic Spray Coating.   While it looks good, I think the additional step of going over the vehicle with Revive is a worthwhile step and will continue to be part of the regiment.

The first picture was taken in the garage last night and the second picture is once I got it outside this morning.  I still need to condition the top and I'm going to use CSC on it and we're keeping our eyes out for some original wheels in good condition to replace the pitted ones on it.  For having almost 200,000 miles on it, I'd say it is in good shape overall.

Weather in Colorado has been pretty crappy, but I managed to spend a few hours getting the bride's Rover looking clean and shiny.

Love how the wheels/tires turned out with Adam's Tire Shine and Detail Spray (even though I did miss a couple of water drops before taking this pic).

Hi everyone.  I've been using different Adams products for quite a while now, love them.  some of my favorites are the detail spray for touch up between washes and the h20 G&G which is also a great product.  current dd is a 19 widebody scat pack in b5 blue... once I'm brave enough I'm going to stip all the wax (ive been using caranuba which is great but doesn't last very long) and maybe attempt the ceramic spray coating that I just got from Adams... otherwise I'm going to just start using at least a synthetic type wax just get better longevity.. here's my current b5 just after one of the first waxes...

Yeah I ordered a couple of mystery packages last week (spooky box, regular mystery box and the mystery trunk organizer).  Felt like gambling for a second but I pretty much have a ton of the products already and was able to snag a few of the last couple of limited releases.  As soon as I tried the detail spray I just started buying stuff 😂😭.

My wife didn't have any complaints at all.  I was working away on her vehicle and she simply stated, no worries, I'll just take your truck to go shopping, , so I was left with no vehicle or money.

I knew CC wouldn’t prevent them, but I just thought it would limit/reduce the swirls more then it did.  Hey, it just means some
more time behind the SK..(aka therapy)!
I may have to switch to CSC instead of the CC....wife is not happy when i told her the car had to sit for 24hrs😬.

Are you suggesting that not everyone does this?  Is this an indication of an addiction?  Yes, the neighbors do tend to give me strange looks when I'm washing cars in the rain.

On the topic of the Plush Blue Waffle Weave, I really like them and that is what gets used on the wife's vehicle when I do a Waterless wash.   I easily go through two or three of the regular waterless wash towels when I use them and only go through 1 or 2 of the plush towels.  In addition, I find the plush one easier to hold onto when using them.   As for the actual cleaning of the vehicle, they both work the same in my opinion.

The 12 pack of both is a good deal when there is a sale going on and both are superior to the waffle towels that I had from a different company from years ago.
