  1. This was from a show this past July They even gave out an award for best vanity plate and this did not win
  2. Nope, but I'm glad you posted this topic because I thought I was the only one too
  3. Same here, I've moved everything inside for the winter. Better safe than sorry.
  4. This stuff works amazingly. Right after I put new carpet in my car I stained it when putting the seats back in, huge black mark about the side of a bottle cap. You can't even tell it was there after using this carpet cleaner. Just spray it on, wait 30 seconds, rub it with your fingers, and blot it off with a towel. Good as new.
  5. Damn Bill, I should get all of my prescriptions from you
  6. Wow I thought I was bad but you guys put me to shame. The most I do is taking off the license plates before starting the wash and putting them back on when the entire exterior is done (lots of dirt gets trapped behind there); and jacking the car up about 3 feet all around for the detail so I can get behind the wheels easier, do the tires evenly, and not break my back on the lower half (this part is for the vette only). Also while it's jacked up I put the car in neutral and rotate the wheels so the logos on the centercaps are all facing the same direction.
  7. I got a buddy with an 82CE, those wheels are a pain to clean. I'm guessing you're the original owner? nice car
  8. I love the expression on people's faces when I do the plastic bag test on their car "is your car clean?" yep "bet you it's not" As Jason said it also works amazingly on clearcoated wheels. BTW nice new smiley
  9. Yeah I found that spraying the undercarriage spray on a towel and then wiping the wheel wells with it helps it apply evenly
  10. That is an awesome two-tone setup you got there. Not overdone, and a good balance of contrast
  11. alright..finally getting some more CT people in on the fun what the h happened to your car... is that sawdust?
  12. they're all busy being fitted for coffee can mufflers
  13. oh my gosh I don't even buy paper towels anymore
  14. That first pic is sweet with the sun shining off the tires like that
  15. Would this work on unpolished metals? Things I'm looking to shine up a bit: stock steel mufflers, control arms, metal tubing for a/c unit (under the hood). I tried the Spray Glaze on my exhaust pipes and it just cleaned them up a little, no big improvement. What's the best way to tackle this and what kind of results should I expect? I know stock steel isn't the easiest to polish
  16. I use version CS2. I don't know how much it costs because I acquired it through other means If you have any younger relatives that are computer savvy they could probably get you a copy too. note: I don't condone piracy, only saving money
  17. Maybe I'll run the car for 10 minutes in the garage, then open the hood and heat the place up a bit
  18. awesome stuff, now have him sign your car !
  19. Different shade of orange then, that makes sense. I'm still anxiously awaiting springtime to try out the Gen2 pads:willy:
  20. I don't think there's a whole lot of room to disappoint with a sticker, I mean as long as it has your logo on it I'd be satisfied I haven't gotten a sticker but I did try to make my own out of the sticker that was on my pack of detail sponges. I cut it out of the plastic and glued it onto a piece of thin cardboard. not exactly a sticker but better than nothing. I toss it up on the dashboard at car shows
  21. Well it's been a week and we had a few rainy days, the windshield had plenty of time to get dirty again, and Adam's Glass Cleaner performed equally as well as the Invisible Glass. The amount of waterspots after a week of weather abuse (daily driver is not garaged) was the same on both sides of the windshield, but far less than the amount on the other, untreated windows. I've used many different glass cleaners and found Invisible Glass to be by far the best (before trying Adam's Glass Cleaner) so to say that Adam's and Stoner's are tied in this aspect is a compliment, I don't see how it would be possible for either product to have yielded any better results, given the testing situation. I'm sticking with Stoner's for now since I've got half a case left, but once that runs out I'll pick up a gallon of Glass Cleaner from Adam's. Another awesome product, nice job
