  1. Dan, i would have to fully agree with that. Each coast has a set of breweries that can't distribute to the other, and both coasts have some truly exceptional brews!
  2. Great Lakes is truly one of my favorites, followed with a tie really between dogfish head and stone. I try pretty much any beer though as long as it doesn't contain 'light' in the name.
  3. Cant' remember manufacturer, Think Warner, check the ladder region at lowes or home depot. They make a platform that's about 4 feet long and i think like 16inches off the ground, legs fold up under it to make for easier storage. Anyway, I use that for the tops of pickups and suv's, i'm 6'2" so it makes it perfect for me.
  4. Well, just brought them home today from the hospital! Both are doing great, thank you all for the comments and likes!
  5. My wife and I went to the hospital yesterday around 630pm, and at 830pm she delivered our little boy! 6pounds 12ounces, 20 1/4 inches long!
  6. This is probably the third time i've had it done Paul. Makes for an interesting drive home though. This is the only time my eyes are physically tired. Just ready for very little light and ready for bed.
  7. Eye exam...My pupils are the size of push pin heads right now...
  8. Drove to work, drove home, stopped at a friends to drop him off and pick up my wife, go out and start the car, the check engine light is now on...weird...
  9. It's more like an intolerance. Been doing a lot of reading on health and stuff lately and one of the things was about how overly modified wheat is now, and how most people have a hard time digesting it. So I figured i'd try going without for a month since my wife actually does have an allergy. I don't feel as bloated and as run down as I used to. That was the only thing i've changed about my diet as well. It has been an interesting test I guess.
  10. Vacuumed the van, rotated the tires, and changed the oil. Got too dark too quick for me to get the chance to wash it though...So that's the goal tomorrow! A bath, clean the windows, and hit it with a coat of wax and call it good for the time being.
  11. I've been trying to avoid wheat for the month, it's been helping me feel a bit better, but i'm not a fan of avoiding beer...I think i'm going to just limit it to a couple of beers on a friday or saturday and call it good. Last one I had was some Christmas Ale from Great Lakes.
  12. Wow! That thing is impressive! I wasn't sure about the square lights, but the look is already growing me. I would love to be able to just take one for a drive. Might have to hit up the carshow here in town and check one out.
  13. I made it out to purchase my XD 40, got the final shelf hung in the laundry room and got a coat of paint on them. Tomorrow morning will be another coat followed by a last one in the afternoon. After the shelves are done i'll be making my way to the base skeet range with some dudes from work to let off some steam!
  14. Still working on things around the house. With the wife and baby still sick it's hard to get too much stuff done. Went back to work and was officially put in charge of my shop, so now i'm leading nine others in the Electric shop! Nice feeling to actually be able to make an impact on a group of people. Today's agenda includes hanging one final shelf, sealing it and painting it. Hopefully a trip to Bass Pro as well for my XD 40 subcompact. Probably will only get the shelf finished up though.
  15. I go back to work tomorrow. For now, I just got done cleaning the kitchen for the sick wifey. Next is to finish hanging the cord concealers on the wall for the surround sound, then to put up a shelf in the laundry room. I'm hoping to take the 9mm up to the range later and light off some rounds. Possibly purchase the XD 40 sub compact i've been wanting for a while as well. We'll see though. Sickness always trumps everything else.
  16. Finished shopping, wrapping and cleaning the house to get ready for the morning. Been a busy day of setting up the surround system and getting all the wires ran, but the livingroom sounds much better now!
  17. Went and got my Christmas shopping done for the wife and most of it done for the baby today! Tomorrow's goal is to wrap all of them...
  18. That's a pretty cool product! Lots of design work went into that creation too, very impressive. Rich, I agree about laying under the car just because, but at least it would be something cool to lay on!
  19. Ha! I always get our van on those things, except once I hear the scrape start, I stop right away and back off, then park. I feel as though he probably pulled all the way forward, then decided to back up.
  20. Got a potential job offer for two years from now! Just might have an end to my Naval service so I can spend some time with the wife and babies!
  21. I was out of High School and in college, it was getting rather expensive for a flight technology degree, so while I was working at the local gas station an army recruiter came in talking about the Chief Warrant Officer program and how I could be flying helos. I was all about it, but he kept dragging his feet. One day the Navy recruiter was in, overheard our conversation and helped me to get the tests and before I knew it I was heading off to boot camp. 10 years later and it has been one heck of an experience.
  22. That's pretty awesome! It would be fun to do a project like that...If only I had the time.
  23. Have fun up there and be safe! Good luck on choosing something that's comfortable to carry and fun to shoot.
