  1. Yesterday I knocked out helping the wife clean the entire house, she's left with some laundry to tackle today, i'm going to knock out installing some fog lights on my truck and then I am going to attempt to finish getting my garage under control. Otherwise, just going to try and relax this afternoon. Happy Sunday!
  2. I'll take the hennessey! That thing looks like a screamin blast! I'll gladly take the twin turbo and gladly drop that in the Titan, the new Traction bars would have their work cut out...
  3. Wow! That is a beautiful car! Nice job, I will get my hands on one of those eventually.
  4. I'm not a fan of the CVT thing anymore either. When it first came out I thought the idea behind it was cool. Then we bought a Caliber, that thing just sucks, I can't drive it to get good mileage out of it to save my life anymore. I can drive my big ol' V-8 better than that little car...anyway, I always thought the old Supra's were awesome, hopefully they make it worth bringing the name back.
  5. Took my truck to a local off road shop and had my traction bars welded on, i was skeptical, but wow does that thing just hook and go!
  6. I rolled out of bed finally around 9am, hung black out curtains in the livingroom over the sliding door, then rolled to Home Depot and rented a 12foot ladder, climbed it and stapled a set of blackout curtains over the skylights. We are renting, otherwise I would have gotten the fancy solar powered blackout shade that fits inside the opening and is operated via battery. So the ceiling looks a little polish/redneck, but the living room is actually about 15 degrees cooler, so I won't complain! Now to finally relax, maybe a couple drinks and just enjoy the coolness.
  7. My wife and I got tired of the pressure from the family to have a big wedding, so we moved it up to having only 3 weeks to execute the thing. She found her dress at David's Bridal for $99, we gave the church $300 as a donation for the small service and for using their little hall, otherwise family pitched in for everything else, out the door we were under 1k.
  8. So far i've stayed in the house, it's just miserable outside today. I truly miss the good old pacific northwest...
  9. That's cool, extreme dedication though, I have trouble remembering to take pictures when i'm doing a mod to my truck so I can do a write up later on. Usually I have some before pictures, a during, and plenty of after explaining what I did...
  10. Then you just buy the adams Metal polish and you're good to go!
  11. I've wanted one of those since they came out, sad thing is there is one in my neighborhood...It's painted rattle can flat grey...all of it except the wheels and the glass. Really sad to see, told the wife I would buy it in a heartbeat and get a real paintjob done to it!
  12. That was in 1999, I wanted either a Silverado, or a Cadillac Catera.
  13. Spent 30 mins at work and now i'm off for the day! Going to hang some shelves around the house and finish unpacking finally!
  14. Dude, i'm so with you on that one. I'm thinking I have to tackle that truck of mine already! All those cars look great!
  15. I've got a Tom Tom, I actually have 2 of them. I recently learned that if you can get it to do a full random reset and then plug it into the computer it'll do a full update with the most recent maps. You can still update them normally though for I think 50 or so a year.
  16. Got two of the shelves hung up, I'll take care of the rest tomorrow, had to get some grocery shopping done, so that interfered with the rest of the plans. Otherwise I grilled some beef ribs and made some awesome apricot habenero sauce to slather on them, not too hot at all, just a bit tangy. Overall, going to make that sauce again in the near future!
  17. Made breakfast while rocking to the 80's summer hits on Pandora, cleaning up the kitchen now and then i'm finally going to hang some shelves in the spare room and finish unpacking some boxes from the move in November. Maybe make my way out and put some baking soda under the floor mats to help get rid of the musty scent I have in my truck from an ac drain issue I had last summer. Maybe splice in my new connectors for the HID fog lights as well, but we'll see where the day really takes me.
  18. We all agree that discipline is the issue, but if you even lay a hand on your kid anymore, it's considered abuse. I know this, if my kids ever did or participated in something like that, and I had cops showing up at my door due to the beating that would occur afterwards, I would have a few questions before telling them to essentially get lost. Do you pay for the food to feed them? What about the roof over their heads? The clothes on their backs? What about the extra curricular activities through the school? You don't pay for sh#t? I didn't think so! I would probably be in handcuffs shortly after that, but that is besides the point. I think as a society we have created the monster and unless we realize that some things, such as a swat across the butt or a hand across the mouth sometimes, that things will only get worse.
  19. Same with mine, they might as well market it as an oversized storage area with an oversized door leading directly to the driveway. I tried to fit my truck inside when we first moved in...I got to the mirrors, had to fold them, then barely squeezed it in...Stopped once the drivers door could be "opened" and then backed it out and proceeded to fill it with all my tools and other misc items...
  20. Purchased some connectors so I can swap out the factory fog light plugs on my truck so I can get my HID ballast hooked up. Got home and I played with my daughter!
  21. The CCXR is awesome, I've watched a few videos on how they build them as well as the performance aspects, nice cars! What that Fiskar the all electric model? It looked like solar panels on the roof of it. Heck of a collection, it may be sad though, that line of newer ferrari's didn't even perk my interest...
  22. Looks great! Gives me some motivation to tackle my truck now! Again, great job man!
  23. I watch my mirrors all the time for this, I used to drive without my trailer hitch in, but once I got to Va Beach, i put it back on. It may be a jerk move, but if you don't want to pay attention to the road, so be it.
  24. I used to be an offender of this, I now just keep my phone in my pocket and ignore it. It's just not worth it.
  25. Funny you mention the stallings...my wife's caliber did that twice. Second time there was supposedly an update to the ecu, when they went to re flash it the computer froze and crapped out, replaced it and now it only almost dies out. Bought in 2011 as well. Good luck with the new one!
