Odds and Ends reacted to Team Adam's in Car covers for a car parked outside
    NONE.

Covers are for indoor long term storage only. Outdoor covers are just a way to introduce damage when you're not there.
They can (should) only be put on when the car is 100% spotlessly clean... this pretty much eliminates day to day use unless you plan to do a daily rinseless or waterless as soon as you park the car. Dirt and debris will find their way under the cover, even with the slightest breeze, creating a situation that anytime the covers shifts with the wind its grinding that dirt into the finish. Whats worse? Swirls or dirt? A car parked outdoors will accumulate dust/dirt/pollen - all of which can be washed away and leave not lasting effects. Damage introduced from a cover will require polishing, so is there really any benefit? IMO No. To each their own, obviously, but I am completely against the use of a cover for outdoor use, even the best fitted, most contoured, softest cover you can find carries risks.

I don't like to use a car cover on a car that lives outside. The wind will whip it and it will scratch your paint.

Odds and Ends got a reaction from dirtymarcus in Are you guys using sealant on your garage queens?
Agreed.....the shine of today's sealers is very comparable to most waxes.  While there are some guys who claim that they can see a difference and the sealers are shiny, but look "fake", while a wax will offer more "depth", I'd be hard pressed to tell much of a difference.

As for my garage queens/weekend cars, I use 2 coats of LPS.  The slickness and shine is unbelievable and I get lots of questions from customers and friends when they see the cars in the shop as to what's on them to make them look so "glossy and wet".  I maintain both of those cars with a combination of Rinseless Washes and Bucket Washes, but top them with a coat of Brilliant Glaze about every other wash.  The layered LPS creates a super base of protection and the glaze keeps them ready to drive and/or show.

I frequently have many out of stock items on my shelves as well.  In addition, I still stock many of the popular "discontinued" items such as fire hose nozzles and boar's hair wheel brushes.  You're close enough that it may be worth a road trip! I've got plenty of 1L Kwazar sprayers on hand.

Darker the color, the more reflection you will see from the Brilliant Glaze.  Still, on our pearl white kiddo-mover, I will clay and Glaze it every three washes.  It's so easy, and the results are with the effort...IMHO.

I'm a bit of a drive but keep pretty much everything in stock at all times.  I also respond to e-mails at all kinds of crazy hours.  Please get in touch if I can help in any way.

simply wipe the seat with your gloved hand and the hair will "roll up" as you wipe. Have the vacuum hose in the other hand and suck it up as you go, or just roll it all up and then vacuum at the end.
