Sooooo, it's been a while, and went to re-order some In and Out Spray. 1. Has it been discontinued? 2. If so, what are the kids these days using to replace it? Really only use it for my RS Front Grill Assy's...lotta nooks and cranny's. - JB

Two bucket on the RS for the first time in over a year and a half.....all rinseless prior. Felt friggin amazing...although I want to try some of that H2O fancy, shmancy stuff.

Same as many others...time. Shoot, I haven't posted since December...dayummmmmmm. I switched my weekend detailing ritual up with spending more time with my boys, and it feels amazing. I still wipe my girl down every now and then, and do some light touch ups on the DD's. We are moving, so once I get settled in...maybe I'll get the itch again.

Yeah, there's a place for them Tom. I just will never get the hype. LSP's are sacrificial layers right? So in essence, with a coating you are adding more to the clear coat. Clear coat protects paint. Unless you leave a DD outside, 24/7 in the salty streets of Buffalo during the dead of winter for 10 years...clear coat is going to be just fine 99% of the time. Coatings will not prevent scratching, rock chips, certain types of bird crap and acidic bugs from etching paint, UV fading/cracking of paint, 2 year olds from rubbing their bike handle on your car, etc. Bottom line...there is no added benefit, from my point of view, in having a coating on your car. What is your clear coat being "protected" from? Your going to end up where you were in the first place....I would rather have a sacrificial layer on my car that I can strip and re-apply in an hour or so..not trying to strip a scratched up coating off of my car. Your going to have to touch your vehicle up once or twice a year (depending on storage/driving habits) no matter what if you want it to stay "perfect." I'm sure that makes no sense, haha.

Also, coatings scratch, just like a clear coat. I've been there, got the t-shirt...stripped it off, and returned to my favorite part of detailing...applying a fine, buttery soft carnuba to freshly polished paint. You can wax a car in 30-45 minutes, so what if you have to do it every few weeks? Wax's look better, are fun to apply...and aren't a PIA to remove once you realize your coating is all scratched up.

Honestly. Straight up. I have pretty much every fender brush available. For the price, the Mothers brushes are amazing...that and their metal polishes. Other than that, not much.

Tuned up the DD...Oil, Filter, Air Filter, Cabin Filter, Plugs, Wires, Cap, Rotor....next weekend, half shafts. Both front CV boots and joints are bad. What can I say, she's starting to show her 15 years, but still no issues besides typical wear items. Sorting through posts, this place has changed alot, that's for sure. ~D

Alot of Detailing after shots are in the Professional level photo's and high quality camera's. I have no doubt mine, and alot of others peoples work on here would look just as good under those conditions.

I would be lying if your leaving doesn't make me wonder about the future of the forum...not many could diffuse a situation, or provide product expertise to people or add such a touch of humor to the forums that just made everyone feel comfortable. I'll miss ya man. I must say I am not surprised however, something just feels different lately.
