  1. Anyone have pictures from this weekend ???
  2. Sorry... 20 years in politics has left me with a permanent case of double-talk !! dv
  3. Nope, No Typo... The machine polish and the orange pad will remove the old Machine Wax and the few coats of Brilliant Show Glaze. I don't "bear down" very hard using the orange pad. There are also light surface scratching I'm trying to get out as well. ( this is after 1,000 to 1,500 miles of driving) Then I go over it again with the polishing pad, this time bearing down as seen in Adam's video instruction. It's kind of like stepping down when color sanding before the clear coat.... I've gotten the best results with a street driven/show car using this method, with the Adam's Machine Polish and Wax, over conventional compound/polish/wax routine that I had to do every month during the cruising season.. dv
  4. Hi Tony !! Welcome to the Forum !!!! Dennis
  5. I use the Machine Polish with the Orange Pad first to remove the layer of Machine Wax. Then followup using the Machine Polish again with the White Pad. Finally, Machine Wax with Black Pad. I usually let the wax cure overnight, then remove completly with MF towel(s). I've returned 24 hrs later, as directed, but never really seen anything that needed to be cleaned off with Detail Spray. I usually wait a week before hitting it with the Show Glaze. But,, Show Glaze and Detail Spray is all I need for three months after that. That's putting many miles on in those three months too !!! I'm completly sold on the Machine Polish/Wax system !! dv

  8. Stay out of Harm's Way my friend.. God Bless... dv
  9. Wow,, Pretty harsh Jason ... Being a second generation Italian I know that we held onto our culture, ( and still do ) as did Germans, Irish, French,,, ( well maybe not the French ) We never thought of ourselves as "pushing" our culture on others, but I know that all people of ethnic backgrounds were shunned when their numbers grew here. There is a lot to be learned from people of other backgrounds. Try and see it as an oppurtunity to expand your knowledge of the world we live in. dv
  10. Nice shot of the house Les.. I too fly the flag 24/7. It's replaced annually and the old one given to the local Boy Scouts for them to decommission "properly". dv

Parking was at a preimum after 8:00 am... I stopped by to see our old friend Leo ( aka: Detail Addict ) and scored some VRT... I said I would take pictures,, but there were so many people it would take 10 minutes per picture to get a clean shot !! Weather was in the mid-to high 70's and I got my base coat of Pre-Cancerious RED on my arms and face !! I "may" return tomorrow. Car ran beautifully down and back today... The Hot Rod Season has official begun in Calif.. Dennis

  20. I've been using it for about a month or so now. I didn't think anything could beat the finish shine I've gotten from Super Machine Polish and Wax but I was wrong !! When used after a session with the Porter Cable the shine is definatly better than without using it. I've found that drying time is about 15 minutes in a 50 degree garage which works out because when the car is completly covered, it's about time to start wiping it down. My show day routine has now been changed. After arrival and during setup, Detail Spray, BSG, clean wheels and tires, wipe off BSG... Dennis
  21. I use a California Car Cover ( dust cover ) religiously. I wash it at least once a year, (more if needed), in cold water. The soft side of the dust cover is very soft and I've not experienced any scratching caused by it. But Ya GOTTA wash them !! In the winter I use the dust cover AND a zip-up cover. ( kind of like a mummy bag for your car ! ) For getting light dust off the car I spray one side of a folded microfiber towel with Adams Detail Spray, and ever-so-lightly go over the car a section at a time lifting the dust off with the detail spray side and quickly wiping down with the dry side. Down Side : The microfiber towels get dirty FAST and need to be changed to cleaner ones. On a small car like the 37 it may take three towels. Dennis
  22. I have the EXACT same problem with my Jeep. The cloth upolstery has tight loops that hold onto individule hairs tightly. It takes many passes with a shop vac to get them all off. I used our Dyson house vac with the pet hair attachment and it works better, but Princess has kittens when she see me heading to the driveway with it. Two possible solutions : Vacuum the dog before allowing him/her in the Jeep. or SHAVE the dog !!! . .............. ....... I'm thinking ! .......... dv
  23. Welcome back and congratulations Teresa !!!!! Dennis
