  1. I guess I know what I'm doing when I get my gallon of APC.
  2. While not as involved as some of the other entries this takes the "different" aspect to another level. I mean, Who would think to detail a rubber duck? Seeing what SVRT does for tires, is the duck touching the water or does it hover slightly?
  3. I've done one in the sun, so it can be done. Have your detail spray handy and be prepared to use quite abit to keep the pads moist. It's not ideal, but can work.
  4. I had the same issue with my Crown Vic, full correction not quite 2 months ago. It was sealed with Machine Super Sealant, but the wash I did last week water wasn't even beading. My Taurus has some Quick Sealant on it and it was still beading. I went ahead and put some quick sealant on the Vic and it's beading fine since. Maybe we've had some extra goodies coming down in in the rain out here?
  5. You have the right idea for correction, the key is to remove ALL the rust. If there is an auto body supply store near you, pick up some good quality masking tape and plan to apply paint to an area much larger than the repair. I would add a clear coat over the painted area as well.
  6. Pine should be fine for an installation like that, you will just need to watch writing on it. Any unsupported paper will transfer the impressions directly to the pine surface.
  7. I'd write a letter or e-mail (should be contact info printed on the can) about the situation. You never know, you might get something from them.
  8. I wear clear plastic saftey glasses when running my string trimmer, saved me from various things flying up many times. Anyway, they get grass and weeds stuck to them pretty easily. I pulled a new pair out the other day and hit them with quick sealant and nothing sticks, they just wipe clear. Just a great product.
  9. I only wash my own, but I've done 2 bucket washes for years (now with grit gaurds). I am going to teach one of my neighbors proper washing and see if we can get his truck to bead again. It hasn't been waxed in 6 years or so.
  10. I'm not a red fan, but that did turn out sweet!
  11. Nice, I love the new body on the Chargers. The weather out here has stopped my polish of the Taurus for my past two weekends.
  12. I've used an absorber for years, the Great White is just in another league. I'm going to get a second here soon.
  13. What about Revive on a hand aplicator? I've heard of it being used on new style radio faces, should work on any interior plastic.
  14. I tried most of the over the counter brands and since stepping up to Adams I will never use anything else. The system is well put together and just work, even my wife was able to help polish and seal the car. Nothing has that chemical smell and the level of service is unparalleled.
  15. Looks great! I love wagons. There seemed to be a texture in a couple of the after shots, then I realized it was the reflection.
  16. It's by no means perfect, but because of Adams I was accused of repainting our 2006 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor by my neighbor. Looks pretty good for 126,000 miles.
  17. Not bad, typical explodie summer movie. If you liked the Transformers Series you'll like this one. The best part was the use of real war veterans in actual speaking roles.
  18. I was going to cut the grass, but it was raining this morning, so went to see Battleship with the wife.
  19. I'd be in for the Wagon or the Ute, darn lucky Australians.
  20. Had a roommate in collage like this, he was never wrong, didn't matter the subject he was an expert. You just have to be happy in knowing you're right and let them think they've won.
  21. It just puts me in mind of They Live, when Roddy Piper puts on the sunglasses and sees the hidden messages, now we can see the imperfect paint everywhere.
  22. Man, you gave them back a new car,.. truck,.. whatever it is. Great turn around!
