  1. We went to a local cruise-in this weekend. Before we left I put a quick coat of Adams Americana on as well as some Adams Buttery Wax to the wheels of our Camaro.
  2. Nice work! Looks like someone really has taken great care of it through the years.
  3. I'm going to be detailing a car that has a black convertible top. How do I go about cleaning it? Is there anything I could use to seal/protect it or should I leave it alone?
  4. There are 3 sizes. I use the larger one the most. I keep finding areas on our cars to use these. For size comparison I added a trim/lug brush.
  5. I just purchased the Master Blaster on Saturday and am going to try it out for the first time tomorrow. I too started out with the sidekick for about a year. I like the sidekick but felt like I needed something larger to dry the entire car.
  6. Maybe try a smaller section and then remove. What type of microfibers are you using to remove the polish?
  7. What works for me is to spray the APC on the tire while it is still dry. I let that dwell for maybe two minutes or so. Then I take a soapy brush and scrub the tire. I then rinse. I will do this again. Afterwards I will apply the SVRT. Where you using a silicone based dressing before SVRT? If it was silicone based it may take a while to remove and recondition the tires.
  8. Nice job! I hope she doesn't continue washing with with old rags and sponges.
  9. Welcome! Nice looking Mustangs!
  10. I apply quick sealant to the front of our daily driver and all plastic trim, door jabs, wheels etc. I use a microfiber applicator which I can get a few uses out of before I discard it. I spray the sealant on the applicator and apply to the paint/plastic. I let it "cure" or "sit" for a few seconds and then remove excess with a microfiber cloth. You will not see a haze with this product. It is optically clear. I sometimes have a hard time seeing where I applied it. Your pad may absorb a little sealant. Just do a small section and reapply to the pad. I always work in small sections with this product. Quick Sealant is my favorite Adams product due to it's versatility and durability. What type of car are you working on?
  11. Looking good! The first 2 posts I looked at today both were about Audi S5's. Great looking car.
  12. And the addiction has begun.....
  13. Interesting article. I think it may depend on the target market. I live in a fairly depressed area, in fact the poorest county in Pennsylvania is just 8 miles down the road. Having their car detailed is not a high priority here (except for me). If I were to get into the detailing business I would set realistic prices for my services that would correspond to the area. However, I would not give my services away either. I would focus more on the quality of my work and customer service then simply just offering a low rate to attract customers. I also believe that educating people on how to properly maintain a car goes a long way.
  14. Congratulations on the new car! Nice looking challenger!
  15. Great write-up! I love that supercharged wagon!
  16. We had a similar storm probably on the same day. My wife talked me into taking our DD and she found a spot in the parking garage. We had no damage but there was thousands of cars that looked like your friends truck. One car dealership had 300 new cars damaged. The hail actually looked like big chunks of ice.
  17. Nice write up and timely. I just took a break from claying my Challenger. I have flat black graphics (not painted on but one long sticker) on the side. Can I clay these? I did a little test spot and got what I thought was a lot of black/dirt on the clay so I stopped. I was worried because these are stickers.
