Jump in, and I doubt you will look back. I am a serious old school wax guy, in fact Patriot was fav. But, I like first hand knowledge of every product I sell, so I decided to do my DD truck, Called a detailer I know well just to help with application. The prep is key, and we knocked out a great detail on my truck, then applied the Paint Coating. I was blown away how easy it to use.
Every time I look at my truck, or wash it I continue to be impressed. I went ahead and did my 2006 Road Glide Harley, and my 2000 Corvette, all using the same kit. Seriously, 2 cars and truck.
The trim coating is just as cool, but on my truck it did take two coats on the trim to do the trick.
I still like wax on my classic cars, but pretty much changing over to ceramics on everything else. I just don't see a down side.
There's plenty of videos everywhere, but take a look at me on IG if you're curious.

Hey guys, my name is Kaisen. I am new to the forum and Adam's products. I just ordered the foam cannon car wash kit and the sidekick blaster and can't wait to use them on my 2013 Subaru Impreza Hatchback and 2014 BMW 320i xdrive.

Use more product and make sure the microfiber on the pad is not matted down, you will need to brush it back up so the pad cuts effectively.

Make sure you protect those headlights afterwords with spray on clear, a ceramic coating, or at least a sealant.

Ended up being the power cord. As I wiggled it, it would cut out. Cut about a foot of wire off and reconnected...works great now. Guessing it was pinched somewhere.

I hesitated a while before buying the ceramic coatings because of price and intimidation.  For some reason I was nervous about applying the coating, especially to the paint.  Turns out I had nothing to be worried about.  Just applied all three coatings and the process was very easy and straightforward.  Like Tim, I really liked the trim coating but all three are good.

Buy it yesterday. It is super easy to work with and makes subsequent washes easier. I like the trim coating even more than the paint coating.

Picked up this little sweetheart hotrod 09 SS HHR. 2.0-liter turbocharged,direct-injected four-cylinder squeezing out 260 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. Total production was just alittle over 8000 in the 3 year run. 4500 or so in 08, a few over 2500 in 09 and less than 1000 in 2010.
Stripe washed her, then layered paint sealant, glaze and then Americana...

For what it is, yes. Definitely not what I was expecting though, and also didn't work at all on my white paint. I use it for finding dog toys under the couch, and stuff I lose under the fridge.

Was by the shop yesterday, trying to keep Project Vega moving. He is confident it will be home by Christmas, 2017. He has to finish a 1st gen Camaro project first, plus keep the shop doors open. Christmas seems do-able though. Will post pics when we start back up on it.

Okay, made some measurable progress, with pictures. To recap, it's a 1972 Vega wagon. the engine is a 350, bored and stroked to 383, backed by a 700R4. Out back is a narrowed 10 bolt, 3:73 LSD. It's the large ring gear version, from a S-10 ZR2, so it has bigger carrier bearings too. Custom axles are Dutchman Performance. 4 wheel disc brakes. Coilovers at every corner on tubular control arms. Engine mounts and headers are by Don Hardy Race Cars. It's about the only system that uses conventional mounts, as opposed to a front mount. The headers all fit inside the engine bay.
Nothing fits though...every header pipe had to "malletized" for spark plug clearance, the mounts had to massaged a bit. Then, since these headers are designed for side pipes we moved the collector forward a bit, and routed them back under the car.
The gas tank is a repop 1st gen Camaro unit, and looks factory back there.
There is a ton of little things too, like flipping the heater core around, adding power steering, updating the dash to full GT instrumentation. Should be a fun little car when it's done. I'm hoping we can keep the level of progress going at this rate.
And I'm so lucky, my wife is still be my side during all this.

I see their side, especially if it's being abused by everyone, at the expense of customers driving off rather than wait. That said, sounds like you're being very considerate, and spending money there, so I'd let you do it. good luck.

So with posting this a while back, I stopped at a different coin wash on Monday since I was off for my birthday and was doing the strip wash before my paint correction fun, which I posted over in that forum. I saw a gentlemen gathering coins, so I was like, let's see what he says. I hadn't started washing, but saw signs saying "no bucket washing, we have everything you need" lol sureee! Anyways, I asked him, he told me that if it's slow, or if you go early or late, he would turn the other cheek.

He said he actually knows the guy who runs mine in Naperville and said that because I was nice enough to approach and ask, he would probably be cool with it also. He said his big no no, was if I brought my own pre filled buckets with water (which I don't do). So I think most sane business owners get it, he did say go off hours though because they don't want everyone doing bucket wash.

He even was thinking about how to possibly charge not on certain things, but bay time, although he's like I would need attendants 24x7 and he said this business is more set it and come back. So I will continue to do it, and if I see the guy at my local one will probably approach to form a relationship but if he goes into a tirade like the example above, well then I'll look elsewhere.

The owner of that one even stated he knows hand washing is best and said I had a nice ride, so overall a cool owner, but that one is like 20 mins from me.

Exactly. They can ether have someone in a wash bay using a bucket or have all of the bays empty and be losing money.
