If you are not happy with the repair, do not accept the vehicle, and do not sign anything. Stay in the rental. It is the body shop's duty to return the vehicle to pre-loss condition and the other party's insurance company must fairly compensate the shop to accomplish the repair. Looks like someone smeared some seam sealer in that joint. What does that area of the other side of the vehicle look like? I doubt it looks as sloppy as the repaired side.
My guess is the shop has been short paid on some of the repairs, so they are taking some short cuts. That door handle condition is absolutely ludicrous! So much for quality control.
You may have to contact the insurance company yourself. Remind them the vehicle has not been returned to pre-loss condition and if they will not authorize the proper repairs, you will seek compensation from their insured for the subsequent repairs needed. Again, sign nothing!

We had a rare rainy weekend here in the west valley of Phoenix, so I decided to work on my Chevelle. I noticed at was looking somewhat hazy and the trunk lid had lots of scratches in it. Our cruising season will start back up again in about a month and I wanted my Chevelle to look its best.
I started with an IPA wipe down. It felt very smooth before the wipe down, but after the existing wax layer was gone, I found out it need to be clayed. Wasn't real rough, but enough to make me spend some extra time on it. After the wipe down and claying, I taped it up.
The roof wasn't real bad and only needed to be hit with Swirl and Hazed Remover (yes, I am still using the old stuff).
And after hitting with Fine Machine Polish
The trunk lid had lots of scratches and needed Severe Swirl Remover, Swirl and Haze Remover, and Fine Machine Polish.
After
The hood and the rest of the car looked like this.
I ended up using Severe Swirl Remover, Swirl and Haze Remover, and Fine Machine Polish on the rest of the car. Made for a long afternoon! I like my PC, but I could probably save time getting something better.
I tried to shoot some 50/50 shots, but that didn't work out.
With the polishing done, I wiped the car down again with IPA, removed the tape, polished the edges, and applied Machine Super Sealant. Then I called it a night.
Rained again today, so I worked on the Chevelle again today. I started with cleaning and applying Quick Sealant to all of the jambs while waiting for the MSS to cure. Afterwards, I applied Brilliant Glaze to the rest of the car and followed with Americana. I think spending two days on this car was worth it.
My neighbor though I had it repainted. Adam's Products RULE!
Since next weekend is a 3-day weekend, I'll polish my wife's Kia Soul.

First time using the new 2 step paint correction with the flex. I'm pretty happy with the results.

Yup, this is one of the things I don't like about detailing; comments from the peanut gallery.
"You should use M's stuff. It does the same thing in a couple of hours."
I also dislike cleaning the inside my Camaro's rear glass.

Since I do not have a garage, I work on the street in front of my house. My least favorite thing is my neighbors or random people coming by to talk, especially when I am polishing. They see the Flex and say "how much did you pay for that buffer". I explain it is not a buffer, and when I tell them how much it cost, they say "geez, I got one at AutoZone for $35." And to that I say "no you didn't". Then I fire it back up and they leave.

I always do a Waterless Wash wipe down when I return home from a show or cruise. Great stuff!

My largely original 1964 Corvette. Getting ready for a big show, so hit the interior and engine. Paint is over 20 years old, but gold came back nice. Some fresh chrome and trim bits. Still need to get after the suspension and tires and wheels before the show.
Typically I start working, then halfway through think I should take pictures.
Used everything from clay, PCP, PFP, Microfiber pads & FlexRevive, BG, Americana, TID, Carpet & Upholstery cleaner, I&O, Metal Polish & 4" Pads on windshield A pillars, etc.

Anyhow, a few pics:

I polished and waxed thie 1914 Renault earlier this year and the owner called me this week about removing some grease stains from these original 99 year old seats.
Needless to say I was a little nervous, but knew my Adam's products would not let me down. Being cautious, I diluted some Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner about 60/40 with distilled water. I sprayed that solution on a Edgeless Utility Towel and tried it on a less noticeable area. There was no degradation of the material and the owner was very pleased with the preliminary results. The grease stain was on the upright portion of the front passenger seat (the left hand seat in this car). I cleaned the area and wiped it with water. To see the progress, we used a hair dryer to remove the moisture. The area looked better, but took 2 more applications to make in unnoticable. There were a few stains in the seat backs of the rear seats in the picture that looked like water stains and another grease stain on the seat bottom. I was able to remove the grease stain and make the other stains less noticable.
I have to say I LOVE working on this car!

That Chevelle is beautiful!
Washed the Tahoe last night and used some Undercairrage Spray and SVRT on tires and running boards.
