  1. Thank you! Thanks! That's very kind, especially since yours looks well cared for too. +1, but the 662 HP / 631 FT-LB rating appears somewhat conservative... During the baseline (i.e., stock) dyno pull I did with mine, it put down 642 HP / 621 FT-LBS at the rear wheels:
  2. FWIW, Evan, Nick's advice is EXACTLY how I clean/detail my engine bay...
  3. Thanks! No, I haven't lowered it or done any performance mods yet. The car is, after all, more "traction limited" than "power limited" - It put down 642 HP and 621 ft-lbs of torque (at the rear wheels) on a recent baseline dyno pull... I don't drive it as much as I'd like to. It's a fair weather car so it spends most of the winter under wraps and I only take it out in the summer when there's no rain in the forecast.
  4. What happened to all the pictures and video taken during this clinic?
  5. Yes. You apply sealant first. Wax is an optional second step. Any decent quality painter's tape WITHOUT chemical additives (e.g., Edge-Lock, FrogTape, etc). There's a good thread on this topic located here.
  6. +1. IIRC, Adam did say that. While not questioning the Detailer-in-Chief, I'm old school and will probably always put the Sealant on first.
  7. Adam is spot-on, as always. I use Adam's pads, polish, glaze, and wax with my PC7424XP. I think the results are great. (Multiple Best in Class car show awards indicate others agree...) Whoever labeled the combination "useless" doesn't know what they're talking about.
  8. I remove the entire "disk" of wax from its container and hold it against the pad.
  9. I can't speak to your timing question but, when Adam demonstrated it a couple of weeks ago, he claimed to have spared no expense and exercised GREAT marketing creativity in naming it... "TIRE SHINE".
  10. The answer to your questions are - NO. I use my PC7424XP to apply Americana paste wax all the time. - Paste waxes DO tend to provide more durable protection than liquid. - LPS + BG will provide good shine and great protection. For the ultimate shine AND protection, I apply MSS (now LPS), followed by BG, followed by Americana.
  11. We also have an HE machine. I pre-treat my towels with Revitalizer (heavily soiled spots get APC) and use no-fragrance/no-softener HE detergent for the wash itself.
  12. One Adam's Jumbo 11" by 11" Professional Car Wash Pad. Used ONCE, cleaned, and brushed-out. Decided I prefer the Standard 9" x 9" size, so this one is just sitting. Please PM if you can put it to good use...
  13. My pleasure and I certainly HOPE it was too. FWIW, Adam didn't swear us to secrecy, so I don't THINK I've shared anything we weren't supposed to. If my account disappears and I'm UNinvited from future clinics, we'll know I screwed-up...
  14. As another satisfied owner of the "old" Wheel Woolies, Jason, I tend to agree with you regarding their effectiveness. That said, I was impressed with the "prototypes" Adam used. Perhaps the best news is that he implied the "new" ones will sell at a lower price point. Thanks to my Wheel Woolies, I never saw the need for a Turbo Stick, especially at the "old" price point. A prototype of the new one was, however, one of the MANY products Adam wisely let us use at the Clinic. (As Adam reminded us several times, it's best/easiest to LEARN on SOMEONE ELSE'S car...) I found the "new" one very effective. Again, perhaps the best news is that he implied it will sell at a lower price point. In the absence of Adam's Bug & Tar Remover, I currently use Stoner Bug and Tarminator. Knowing how well every other Adam's product works, however, I look forward to trying their offering. (Unfortunately, this was something we only talked about on Saturday. No prototype or sample was available.) Like several of you, I prefer SVRT over any shiny tire dressing. That said, Tony, there were several folks at the Clinic who were right there with you - they couldn't wait to try out the Tire Shine. Different strokes...
  15. I forgot to mention that, in addition to a brief discussion about inline water filters, those of us at Saturday's HQ Detail Clinic saw and/or heard about several other new/improved soon-to-be-released products including Wheel Woolies, Turbo Stick, Bug & Tar Remover, and Tire Shine (about which Nick gave us a big clue above). Looking forward to the official release(s)... It also sounds like warehousing and shipping changes are afoot, with Adam aiming to optimize shipping times/costs for many more of his customers.
  16. Welcome to AF, John! I've used it on my car for over a year, with NO ill-effects. I am, of course, careful when applying it. When overspray does occurred, I simply wipe it off with a MF towel. FWIW, it's never stained the concrete in my garage. The worst thing I've seen happen is a temporary slick spot.
  17. Adam's photographer/videographer took (what seemed like hundreds of) pics throughout the event, so I'm guessing we'll see some of those when he's had time to review/edit/upload them...
  18. Adam's Shampoo and Detail Spray are your friends... +1. Based on what I heard at yesterday's Detail Clinic, they've had problems finding something that work reliably for a reasonable period of time. As I understood it, their testing discovered that most (all?) currently available products have a pretty short lifespan.
  19. Welcome to AF, Dargo! The short answer is YES. This sticky contains lots of good advice.
  20. Thanks to Adam and his team for hosting a GREAT event!
  21. As of now, weather.com says Louisville's chance of rain is 0% between 0600 and 1100, and only climbs to 10% after that, so I assume tomorrow's clinic is still a GO. Looking forward to it...
