  1. Voted interlagos! They'll look real nice! Glad to see you going with silver!
  2. wow, some people have no respect for other peoples property. such a shame to see on such a beautiful truck (any car really).
  3. growing up I hated the "dark themes" on websites and phones. Ever since I got an Android phone, I haven't looked back. I now find the dark themes so much easier on the eyes. Partly why i liked the tapatalk app was because i prefered browsing forums in the "dark theme". Well done! Can't wait.
  4. Secret ingredient... MoziQ - The safe, all natural insect repellant you eat! Haha Good to see Gail and Dexter recycling some boxes to get the americana out. Ps how great is my sister?? This was my birthday gift!! I told her about the daily special last week, and gave her a forum promo code!
  5. I live in a rowhouse..mid unit. I usually can't drag myself out of bed before 9 on the weekends. That being said, I have on occasion woken up with the intent of spending the full day on the car. I try to start by doing the interior and inside glass from 8-9, then vacuum the carpets. Then i fire up (plug in) the electric pressure washer at 9, no earlier. The pressure washer stays in my garage to help minimize the noise. Music goes on, and up at 10am usually. And yes, I sing. Proceed with my detail from there.
  6. In Ottawa, and now some of Eastern Ontario The Works - Imo better than five guys and some weird selections, also classics. Plus they offer turkey, chicken, and elk burgers (veggie for those who don't do meat). The buns are fresh and perfectly toasted. Their milkshake menu is also to die for. Less than $20 for a burger, some spicy die-cut chips, and a good size shake. Please remember that food prices in Canada are on average about 25-30% higher than in the states. I'm partial to this place, as i know they source all of their elk meat from a local elk farm about 5 minute drive from my parents house. Also, a new favourite of mine is Smoque Shack. Downtown Ottawa century home, converted to restaurant. Famous Jamaican Jerk (chicken and Pork) delicious saucy ribs, and pulled pork. Unique take on ordering. All sides are extra (a few dollars each), and the main meal itself on the cheap. Serve mostly local brews on tap, no "big name" beer. Things like that draw me to the place.
  7. heres one: MSS on glass..yay or nay? Don't have myself any glass sealant yet.

    1 car garage

Thanks. Im not sure its worth 260 to move the car over a foot. Also it would be really tricky to jack the car up inside the garage. That only leavea outside..and I have a 6% slope driveway...which is relatively steep and maybbe tricky to push a car uphill.

    1 car garage

Reviving from the dead. My garage is 20 x 10. Single car. I haven't been able to park inside due to storage, but am slowly cleaning it out and organizing things so they aren't in the way. Moving my work bench downstairs, and my snow blower to my parents place. Should on be left with trash can, recycling bins and miscelaneous equipement up on the wall. What do you guys think, do you think 10' is wide enough to sit on my stool and move my PC around some paint? EDIT: Specs on the G8 are 6.2feet total width. ee that's tight. Practically 2' on each side. I suppose I could park so that I have 1' on one side nad 3' on the other....
  10. Canada Day was July 1st...similar festivities, so I'll post too. Woke up early, went out for breakfast at a local greasy spoon. Another couple joined us for some strawberry picking (they are amazing this year, really good crop up here). Came home at noon, 2 bucket wash and dry. Watched the end of the Blue Jays vs Tigers game, had a nap, went to a friends house for pints and dinner. Went to a local beach/island for some fireworks. Not as impressive as the fireworks on Parliament Hill, but I'd much rather be in a crowd of 20K people versus 150K people. Happy 4th to our neighbours south of the border, and I guess North-West too (Alaska).
  11. Beautiful car. I recall seeing them when I was in Europe/UK a few years back and loved how different they were. I also have a spot for the smaller AR commuter cars.
  12. Strange, it wouldn't let me send. check here for pics. http://forum.grrrr8.net/showthread.php?t=35379 You going 255 squared? the 8.5" wheels don't have the same "concave" look as the 9.5" wheels. they still look awesome in my opinion. Similar to the GXP/CTS-V wheels, but with narrower spokes.
  13. I tried to PM you this..but your mailbox is full. Hey man, no i did not get them from modbargains. I got them from Oemconcept in Montreal. I was dealing a lot with Elliot at modbargains and must say his customer service was excellent as well as his pricing. Only reason I went with a different supplier is because modbargains wanted $400 to ship to canada (not their fault, and they shouldn't have to cover additional shipping charges), I ended up saving considerably by buying locally (slightly higher per unit price, but no shipping costs). I suggest calling him directly, more likely to give you a good deal. The rears, 9.5 ET40 have some issues with the centercap not fitting. I had to file the tabs down a bit. This is why they are not shown as compatible for the G8... I went 285 tire, and with the +40 offset figured it would be wise to have my fender lips rolled. He also pulled them a bit (about 3/8") I have yet to rub. let me know if you want more pictures...
  14. I vote silver...love the pop. I originally wanted gun metal but am so glad I went with the silver. Mine are matt silver with machine face.

Detail spray or pepto bismol?? Peptl cuse nasea, heartburn, indigestions, upset stomach and diarrhea. Haha now I have that song in my head.
  17. welcome to the forums! good eye on your first post...
  18. I've only ever used pledge on household wood surfaces (railings, tables, cabinets etc). So this made me laugh.
  19. This is what I've come to lately. I have started doing my interior first, so that it always gets done. I find that even for regular washes on a weeknight, after 2 hrs of getting sweaty, I just give up at head back inside. If I take 25-30 minutes to knock down the interior, step back and the outside is still filthy, I end up with a much better product come quitting time.
  20. So I am getting married in September. Woo, yay. anyways, my fiance and i did our gift registries at the usual stores up here in Canada. Bed, bath and beyond and the Bay. As I am sure most of you know, these stores don't really carry much for the guy. All sorts of great things for around the house, small appliances, towels, knives etc, but no tools, and more importantly no car care products. I mean if you can ask for household cleaning things (vacuum, high tech swiffers etc) shouldn't one be able to ask for car stuff too? Anyways, we decided to sign up to myregistry.com. Pretty neat site, you just add products from whichever store you want. Very simple. These are my current adam's entries! It's pretty neat, so for any of your soon to be weds, you may want to consider this site (or something similar) for your regsitry! Because we could all use more Adam's products.
  21. Nice. I always liked those Tiguans with the exception of the front clip.
