Kevin
Hello, My first detail performed on my 2004 115K miles Chevy TB - the Swirl King! I watched both Junkman and supplied DVD videos. Watched Junkman's PC 7424 XP video a couple of times. The results are far from perfect; but, for my 1st try, I'm very happy with the shine! I did remove most, but not all swirls. Most scratches are still there. But, because of the killer shine, you don't notice them as much anymore. Here is what I did using all the goodies I received from Adam's products: Junkman 2 bucket wash Claybar using DS Green - SSHR Orange - SHR White - FMP Black - MSW The Brilliant Glaze and Americana were bought after these pictures were taken. Not bad for 115K miles! Now that I've discovered BG & Americana, I'm going to do my wife's car. I will redo my TB adding the BG and Americana to the process. I'm very excited about being able to detail (although at a novice level) my own vehicles - means a lot to me. The only thing better than these products is the Adam's support and forums. Any spots that you will attack next time or did you get everyone the first time? <!-- / message --> Thanks - Yes, actually I need to redo the entire vehicle. This was my first job and I made a lot of mistakes, e.g., not enough detail spray which caused dusting, then I used too much and most likely diluted the various, SSHR, SHR, FMP, etc., products. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<img src=" /><o:p></o:p> I did get a lot of the swirl marks out; however, if you look closely, you can see the inconsistency in my work – but I’m learning. Every time I watch a Junkman video I pick up something else so I’m sure I’ll get better as I do more. I wish I would have discovered this whole “detail” thing sooner though.<o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p>

0 Doug123
My three comments (as for my own early mistakes). 1. Don't use too much product, it slows things down by clogging up the pad and making a dusty mess. 2. one spritz of DS every time you lift the pad off the finish to change areas. 3. Make sure you work the SHR until it flashes (goes clear and greasy looking) and then maybe work it just a touch more so it looks thinner (like a really oily fingerprint) but not down to being dry. (This little tip will be a nice surprise).

Question
Kevin
Hello,
My first detail performed on my 2004 115K miles Chevy TB - the Swirl King!
Here is what I did using all the goodies I received from Adam's products:
Junkman 2 bucket wash
Claybar using DS
Green - SSHR
Orange - SHR
White - FMP
Black - MSW
The Brilliant Glaze and Americana were bought after these pictures were taken.
Not bad for 115K miles!
Now that I've discovered BG & Americana, I'm going to do my wife's car.
I will redo my TB adding the BG and Americana to the process.
I'm very excited about being able to detail (although at a novice level) my
own vehicles - means a lot to me.
The only thing better than these products is the Adam's support and forums.
