Poor mans micro fiber washer

crowvet

Question

This weekend I saw a egg washer and got thinking about pre washing my micro fibers at the shop. I usually put them in a 5 gallon bucket with a little all purpose cleaner and micro fiber restorer to soak. I came up with this. I haven't really used it much yet, but I think it is going to work pretty well as a pre wash machine. What do ya think?

nice idea.  what kind of compressor are you using?  do you have filter attached and dryer.  i would fear oil or other contaminents getting into the bucket.  maybe make and attachement to hook up to a metro vac or sidekick?

I have an Auto repair shop, so I have a large commercial compressor with a 60 gallon tank. Used the washer today and it runs about 25 minutes before the compressor kicks on. Compressor runs a few minutes then shuts off, not bad. I like your  Metro vac idea. I don't have oil or contaminant problems with this compressor.

Thanks guys, It works pretty well... Well enough that the last time I brought my towels from the shop for my wife to wash, she took a look and said how come you never pre-washed them. When I said I just didn't do it, her comment was NO you go do it, it really makes a difference.... This is proof enough to me that it works pretty well. I run them about  a hour or so, then let them soak a day and run it again.
