Thinking about trying this product out! Just a quick question. Would this be the way to go with an accumulation of pollen on the car? I can wash the Stang in the morning, go into town, then by the evening when we want to go to dinner its covered in pollen and light dust (at least this time of year). I am thinking about the spray bottle use if it would not cause any damage. The color by the way is Deep Impact Blue. Thanks!

I would suggest you blow off any excess pollen before cleaning, but yes, RW will work great!

Correct, always a good practice to blow off as much pollen (or dirt, dust, etc.) as possible before going through the Waterless/Rinseless process.

These types of products most definitely have their limitations as far as how much they can safely remove before creating swirls/scratches.  Getting as much pollen off the surface as possible beforehand is a good plan!

I would just keep a bucket of Rinseless handy and do a quick Rinseless wash every other day or two in pollen season, I've found with most Waterless/Detail Spray products that its literally for a wipe down after a short drive.  A full days worth of pollen in my opinion and to be as safe as possible would warrant a Rinseless wash bucket using the Garry Dean method of many towels (Borderless blues are preferred here)

Pollen tends to stick pretty good which is why I suggest the Rinseless as opposed to a spray on wipe off product from what you were saying, but honestly unless you posted a pic of how bad the pollen is I wouldn't know for sure.

Thanks for all the input guys! I will try to get some pictures posted. It has rained here for a day or two so the pollen problem is not an issue today! But , it will be back I'm sure! In the mean time going to order some Rinseless up right now.

I'll let Rick chime in but my dilution is 1:16 with distilled water and it works excellently for dust removal and a wipe down especially after a day on the bike.

I agree on the dilution ratio.  I recently ran out of my waterless wash, and mixed up my rinseless, and I actually like this much better and seems slicker than waterless wash.  Gallon rinseless ordered...check!

To be honest, I barely use Detail Spray anymore.  The 1:16 Rinseless leaves a shiny enough finish for me and finishes perfectly clean everytime.  I'll be buying a gallon soon to refill my 16 oz (easier to put an ounce in my soap bucket with the squeeze bottle), really amazing how well the product works in different dilutions.  A gallon of Rinseless will leave you with enough quick detailer/waterless wash, clay lubricant, wash water softener, and rinseless solution for probably a couple years at least.

What dilution do you use for clay lube?

According to ONR dilutions the ratio is 1 oz per gallon for clay lube (1:128), however I use it at Waterless 1:16 strength and I've noticed that Chase's dilution works just as well (1:32), I just have a ready mixed gallon of 1:16 so I use it more.

I might be just a little late to joining the Rinseless Party but I can't believe that I waited so long! I've only had a brand new bottle sitting on my shelf for just over 3 1/2 months  :lolsmack:

But I am hooked! I washed my truck two days ago and as it's a daily driver is sits outside 24/7 and had some dirt buildup and grime. I finally broke out the Rinseless since I am about due for a correction anyway. Rinseless blew my expectations away, granted I was still concerned even though I have read nothing but rave reviews on it. My truck was recently repainted and has a very soft clear, so soft even I am getting swirling from a two bucket wash, coupled with a foam cannon as well. I can't yet say that I am positive that I won't have any swirl issues with Rinseless but once I find the time to correct my behemoth I'll be sure to follow up.

hello all,

I have a question, if I have a 16 oz bottle of Rinseless and I want to make a spray and wipe (waterless wash) mixture, how should I dilute ?

should it be 16 : 1,  or 15 : 1

basicaly, if I mix up a gallon of product, whould I take 1 gallon of distilled water and ADD 8 ounces to it ?? Or should I put 8 ounces in a 1 gallon container, then fill the rest of the bottle up to the 1 gallon mark ?

If its a true 16:1 ratio, that means it will be 1 gallon (128 oz) plus 8oz of product, giving a total of 136 ounces.

what is the Adams exact instruction on this ?

thanks.

ok, so that is a 15:1 ratio , NOT 16:1.

thank you

Pretty much.

1:16 equals 17 total parts. 128 ounces divided by 17 parts equals approx 7.5 ounces. Therefore 1:16 equals 7.5 ounces active ingredient and 120.5 ounces water. So by using 8 ounces you are very close, no need to be exact.

A difference of one ounce won't make or break the effectiveness of diluted RW, so don't worry too much about that.

There's no need to be quite that exact, 15 or 16 (of 14 or 17) ounces of water will work just fine.  The ratios are just guidelines, you can adjust as needed.  :)

Would using my single soft towels with the Rinseless wash be ok? I will use my Borderless blues to dry it off. I really dont use my single softs anymore so I thought I would see what everyone thinks! Thanks! Al
