Removing dried polish in seams

Hi all,

My apologies if this topic has been covered already.  I was wondering what methods everyone uses to remove dried polish that has made its way into the gaps of panels that you are polishing?  While I try to be careful in the first pass or 2 when working on a panel, I still somehow managed to get some in between after my latest correction.

 

I'm tempted to go back with a toothpick, but I figured it would be best to check with you all before doing something stupid

I use a soft toothbrush.  Not one of those with rubber bristles - just an old-fashioned brush.

 

And Detail Spray.  Maybe a little Iso Alcohol if it is stubborn.

^^This.  I usually open the doors, hood, trunk etc and wipe the seams down after done with each panel with a damp MF and some DS or even better, RTU Waterless (just cleaners no glossing agents)

When mine dried and could not be reached directly on the panel, I gave the rubber trim a good whipe down with the double plush microfiber and they all seemed to just drop out naturally.. didn't have to use any spray, the flakes just fell out under direct pressure of the towel

I always use DS and a MF towel......spray DS heavily and let soak for a bit then wipe with your MF towel. It may take several passes.

If it a hard to reach area try a MF towel around a popsicle stick!

If the seam has a wide enough gap at any point I'll slide the corner of a MF towel in and then pull the towel along the length of the gap. I like the previous mention of using a soft bristle tooth brush.
