Duster?

geogerf

Question

Hey guys, I'm new to Adam's products - just received my first order and washed and polished my car.  Loving it.

Question - what do you think about dusters?  Those big, shaggy, (typically red) brushes?  Those seem to work well when they are new, but as they get old and collect debris they may scratch the car.  Am I correct here?  What do you all use to keep the car dust-free (exterior)?

Thanks,

Geo

On a DD that you don't pamper, yes! I used to have a 2000 Silverado with some clear coat issues from a previous repair. I used a duster all the time on it. I don't use it anymore since I got a newer truck though.

They also work great on lawn mowers, LOL!

I use a duster daily, my car is swirlless, but you have to make sure you do it in the morning and in the evening daily, if you get busy and you skip one of your wipe downs I would not wipe down and avoid it until you waterless/Rinseless wash your vehicle. I also don't wipethe verybottom of a car because that is the dirtiest part of the vehicle and I wipe that down withwaterlees wash or a Rinseless wash wipe down. Yes I do it daily because I use a car cover. It all depends on how pro-active you are with you cars. I look at it as therapy.

The CD gave me the opportunity to polish a pretty famous car. :)

Your best bet is to use WW  or DS and a quality MF towel.
