0 estecoca
I have read about many ppl doing this with good results. You have to be careful b/c the stuff is a little flammable, so use with caution. let me do some searching and see if I can find the threads I am talking about. here ya go: http://www.adamsforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1524&highlight=undercarriage+flammable
0 Nitelord
I've used it on the firewall and inner fenders. I used the VRT on the engine parts, hoses, etc.
0 bigred vette
I use vrt on the engine or in & out if you have any. Adam also said you can mix vrt and water to make it a spray.
0 Rich
It's flamable. So I don't reccommend it.
0 GMaak
Just an FYI from description of daily special. TIP: Adam's Invisible Undercarriage Spray isn't just for fender wells. It's also a great dressing for your engine compartment. After washing and drying your engine thoroughly, simply mist Adam's Invisible Undercarriage Spray over the entire area and wipe in well with an old towel. Adam's Invisible Undercarriage Spray makes plastic and rubber look new again, shines painted surfaces, and keeps aluminum and anodized parts from corroding. Do not spray Adam's Invisible Undercarriage Spray on a hot engine. Regards

0 FASN8N
So, it's flammable and Adam's says you can use it in the engine compartment? Doesn't make sense. I think you are ok as long as you don't spray it DIRECTLY on a hot engine.

Adam corrected that statement in another thread  He checked and it is fine to use under the hood, just don't spray it on a hot engine and you'll be fine :D:D:D
0 Team Adam's
Avoid belts... I accidentally got some on a belt once and the slip/squeal was horrible.

0 Baron_Von_Awesome
Once the flammable solvent evaporates you should be fine... That sentence is going to be one of 2 things: Good advice or famous last words
0 Sinisterc6
i agree, what makes IOS, or undercarriage spray flammable are the solvents that they are suspended in... once those evaporate your good, that being said you need to leave your hood open after using the stuff, i do the engine dressing at the end of detailing and leave the hood open (no hood light to drain battery) and let the cloud of solvents get out, ive been doing this for a year with no issues, if you will sleep better at night you can wipe is off the exhaust manifolds. only three situations could cause a problem, 1) spraying on an open flame... 2) spraying on an extremely hot surface like an exhaust manifold could flash ignite the solvents and finally 3) spraying your engine down then closing the hood, the solvents will collect and you will be accomplishing the same thing as a spud gun
