Just an FYI from description of daily special.

TIP: Adam's Invisible Undercarriage Spray isn't just for fender wells. It's also a great dressing for your engine compartment. After washing and drying your engine thoroughly, simply mist Adam's Invisible Undercarriage Spray over the entire area and wipe in well with an old towel. Adam's Invisible Undercarriage Spray makes plastic and rubber look new again, shines painted surfaces, and keeps aluminum and anodized parts from corroding. Do not spray Adam's Invisible Undercarriage Spray on a hot engine.

Regards

So, it's flammable and Adam's says you can use it in the engine compartment? Doesn't make sense. Maybe Jason can clear this up. :explode:

Adam corrected that statement in another thread :thumbsup:

He checked and it is fine to use under the hood, just don't spray it on a hot engine and you'll be fine :D:D:D:D

i agree, what makes IOS, or undercarriage spray flammable are the solvents that they are suspended in... once those evaporate your good, that being said you need to leave your hood open after using the stuff, i do the engine dressing at the end of detailing and leave the hood open (no hood light to drain battery) and let the cloud of solvents get out, ive been doing this for a year with no issues, if you will sleep better at night you can wipe is off the exhaust manifolds.

only three situations could cause a problem, 1) spraying on an open flame... 2) spraying on an extremely hot surface like an exhaust manifold could flash ignite the solvents and finally 3) spraying your engine down then closing the hood, the solvents will collect and you will be accomplishing the same thing as a spud gun
